Hi, I'm Tony factory. Thank you for joining me today on this video blog entitled living lessons, the topic is overcome your fear of failure. Listen as we end the 2014 and begin a journey into the unexpected and unknown of 2016. I wanted to offer you this video as a way to start the year on a good note. So no matter what your goals are, failure is a concept that often comes up for a number of people. And so I want to address that by looking at the idea of overcoming your fear of failure through three points.

So three points to overcome your fear of failure. Okay, the first one is reframe failure. Tony Robbins says that there is no such thing as failure, only undesirable outcomes. So that is when you reframe failure to see it as a stepping stone, instead of a negative consequence of your actions taken, then your successes are almost guaranteed. Well, they guaranteed in the sense that you draw closer to them because failure becomes reframed in your mind. Personally, on a personal note, I don't have an idea of failure anymore.

I just see it as a way to improve. Now, given that many years ago, failure to me means something different, which leads me to this second point and this is a really crucial point, which I've learned to overcome and manage and I trust that you will too and that is failure does not equate to self worth. Or say that again, failure does not equate to self worth. With some what that simply means is failure is pointing you To an aspect of your goal which requires your attention in order to succeed. So many people attach or unwittingly attach failure to this self worth, and that is when and if they fail at something, a goal or an attempt or a project or studies, then I must be bad, I must not be good. And in fact, when you question that very thought, when you look back, you see that some aspect of your life, your childhood, your adolescence, your teenage years, was perhaps, grounded in that thought and now has come across into this present moment.

So, let go of that thought failure does not equate to self worth. It's merely a indication it's merely showing you what needs to be rectified what needs to be attended to, in order for that goal, that project that study that exam, that job interview, that relationship to succeed. So again, worth reiterating, as we draw closer to 2015 failure does not equate to self worth. And third, and finally, the point worth interesting and worth interested in making and that is failure is not permanent. Failure is not permanent because it's a transitory process. And you might recall that any of your past failures, were I way to overcome that failure.

So it wasn't grounded, you weren't stuck in that failure. The failure will continue to make itself known until you have mastered the lesson. In order to forge ahead, many people will continue making the same mistake and unfortunately not learn from the process. So failure is an attempt and to reignite the process in order to move through it and failure is never permanent. There you go. Thank you once again for joining me on this living the lessons video.
