DESCRIPTION: In this session, we are going to discuss co-signing on false narratives, what the fantasy world is in folk’s minds, and commiserating with the victim mentality. We need to start by answering the question, what are false narratives? Often times when having a conversation with someone who has cluster B dynamics you may find that they are really not a part of your conversation. Sometimes it is like they are a part of a conversation in their own mind, but are not engaged in the conversation at hand. It may feel like you are understood, but later you discover that their interpretation of what was said is way off. There is a disconnect between what they hear and what you said or meant. More likely than not, the person with the cluster B dynamic had already created in their mind what you were going to say. It is not what you are saying, it is what they think you are going to say. This may lead to an argument with their programming, rather than the person.
