Standing straight, feet about shoulder-width apart, hands hanging loosely at your sides. Relax, and connect yourself to the energies of Heaven Earth. Place your tongue to the palate of your mouth. This connects two meridian channels, "Du" or governing channel and "Ren" or conception channel. You will learn more about meridians in the next lesson. The tongue acts like a switch connecting the Yin and Yang channels, creating a bio-orbit or a microcosmic orbit for circulating "chi" within the body. Our tongue is also connected to our heart, placing the tongue at the roof of our mouth, while breathing slowly in and out our nose will lower our heart rate and increase "chi" circulation throughout the body. This is very good for managing one's blood pressure, fighting anxiety, relieving stress and will guide you into deeper states of concentration, contemplation, or meditation. Standing Meditation: Standing meditation is practiced by many martial arts schools. It is a simple technique that combines the strength of the body, the focus of mind, breath, and inward contemplation. Standing meditation is a unique and powerful form of meditation, a method where the qi, the life energy of an individual is activated and enriched. Let's do Standing Meditation - Bend your knees and sitting on your legs. In beginning start with feet shoulder-width apart and feel comfortable in the stance. As you progress and feel stronger, you can make the stance wider and lower. Keep palms together in front of your chest. Relax, breath slowly and deeply in and out your nose. Your tongue should be touching the roof of your mouth. Focus your mind on each breath. Count at least 9 slow deep breaths before straightening your legs. So when you stand still and relax, your mind is focusing on connecting between heaven and earth. each breath you take in every chain, you can imagine. Just follow the energy as it comes down from the top of your head into your body. And then as you exhale, you can feel the energy going down to the one and you can stand like this for about nine slow, deep breaths. And just feel the energy and train your body as you inhale and feel it leaving as you exhale. How to engage the human anymore once you learn to smile This will open up your little guardian or the heart center to feel the smiling energy.

Feel the smiling energy on your face may even feel like light radiating from your face. And this practice can go on for several minutes. As you just align yourself between heaven and earth and focus in control your breath, very slow in and out channels. Okay, very good. Now that's not difficult to do, but it does require some patience and some concentration. Practice daily and you will learn those principles of connecting between heaven and earth.
