Let's go over the answers to these warm up questions now to question number one, how long does it take current jobseekers to find a position these days? Is it two months? three months, six months or nine months? recent statistics indicate that the correct answer is B. Three months. It's taken about three months.

Right now the economy is getting better. Employers are a little bit more aggressive. There's more job opportunities right now. So the correct answer is B. Question number two, after a job interview, is it better to submit a follow up? And thank you No.

True or false? Obviously, the correct answer is true. Absolutely. Whenever you're in this competition, you want to make an impression upon the employer. Any communication, you're interacting with an employee, you want it to be professional, and you want it to be impressive. Now if you're in a competition, and most people won't even follow With this extra step, they'll submit the interview or the interview or the application, or submit it in an application or go to an interview.

And they'll just forget about and hope to get a call back. After an interview, maybe about two days later, or maybe the next day, you submit an email or a thank you note saying thank you for the opportunity. I enjoyed interacting with you. I look forward to meeting with you in person, I think I'd be a good fit for your organization. Two or three sentences take about two minutes. And what an impression you will make upon that employer.

And what have you and another individual are neck and neck they're they're wavering on you and they're they're close and can't make a decision. And then they get that thank you know from you, you rise above that competition. So it's a good investment. Number three, the most successful method of landing a job? Absolutely the correct answer dating, see networking and being referred. I know you've heard this before.

It's not what you know. It's who you know. So young people get in the habit of networking, meeting people interacting, going to community events, expanding your Network online and more importantly in person, once again, an impressive young person with an impressive professional or about them is very, very impressive. And you separate yourself from your competition, you shine like the sun. So network and get involved with people and be referred by people, the more people you know, the more opportunities you create for yourself. Number four, numerous job search experts suggested how that so many jobs are not advertised, there are jobs that are out there, but they're not advertised.

Is that ABC or D? Here's the surprising. The correct answer is D. 65% of jobs are never advertised. That's simply puzzling to you. How are they filling these jobs if they're not advertising them to the public? Well, here's how we just answered in the previous question, networking.

Before a job goes public, and employee will often find someone that they know to fill that job also Most companies hire from within. So before they offer an opportunity to the public advertising it, they will hire from within. So that means for us and job seekers and you as a job seeker, if you want to work for a good company, and they do not have your ideal position, but they have an open entry level position somewhere, would you take that job? The answer should be yes. Because if you're in the company, then that the improvement at the chances of you getting an opportunity within that company improves a great deal because most companies hire from within. So understanding that helps you approach job opportunities from a different perspective.

Yes, so number five. online access online number five, online access and networking is critical for current job seekers. Absolutely correct. The correct answer is true. Nowadays, you have to have an online presence. Most jobs and most company As an organization, there are most organizations are advertising online through their social media pages.

They do also background checks that include a social media background. So if you do have a presence online, make sure your presence online is impressive and professional. You have any unfavored videos out there, or some foul language, it might be a good idea to clean it up, clean it up, because your professional reputation should outweigh your social reputation and it should be more important to you. So again, your online presence and social media is a big part. Many people are doing online resumes and profiles on their social media pages. And employers are looking at those things and making decisions based on what they've learned about you online.

So absolutely. Number six, researching the company and the position is one of the best ways to be prepared for an interview. Remember, success happens when opportunity meets preparation. This helps you become more prepared to correct The correct answer is a true research the company, how impressive would you sound? If you go into an organization and, you know, their mission statement? You know, when they were established, you know how many franchises they have in a certain area, county or city, you know, who who the CEO of the company is, you know, what their biggest challenges are, you know, what their, their projection of approaching, you've been looking at researching, and somehow he may have found that maybe there is a franchise being built in a new area, you know, what their stock market looks like?

Or their stock numbers look like? How impressive are you? And if every company that you know, have a mission statement, or a slogan, and you incorporate some of those terms, in your responses during the interview, you organically connect with that organization, you sound like you're already a part of the team. It's a good idea. Number seven, a formatted resume should be more than one page and should not be more than one page in length. That is correct nowadays.

With the competition, particularly a young job seeker, if you are a seasoned professional, you may have a thicker resume in terms of multiple pages. But for most young or new job seekers, your resume should only be one page, because most employers have multiple applicants. And they may not have the time or the manpower to look to a multiple a multiple page resume. So you want to make your resume short and sweet. and to the point. It will include a package which will include a resume and cover letter and a reference sheet.

But that resume itself, let's keep it short and to the point. Now, here's why an example. Your resume, most people have a short term memory. Let's keep that in mind the environment we're living in right now. They want to quit. So if you're if your resume is not impressive, before a person's eyes get from here to here, they're gonna say next.

So we designed the technique to not only submit your resume an impressive resume within one page, but we've designed a style of a resume That would impress that employer by the first quarter of that page. And we'll learn that later on in this course. So, number seven also is true. And that is our warm up. And with that, we're going to move in to the next segment of this training.
