DESCRIPTION: How to use this course
This book is divided up into 6 goals to get you to your 1st song. Each ‘Goal’ has 3 ‘Target Points’, indicated by a triangle to the right of each Goal Heading. The ‘Target Points’, ‘Goals’ and therefore the ‘Whole Book’ are all designed to illustrate and encourage ‘Purposeful Practice’.
Work through each goal and complete its assessment before moving on. This helps make sure you understand each element before attempting the next one. That said, please don’t worry about perfecting each goal at this stage. Just make sure you know enough so that the next goal makes sense and is achievable.
Like I said when I played my 1st song, it was far from perfect but knowing all the components I needed gave me the tools to play it right through, warts and all, which in turn motivated me to then work on improving it.
