DESCRIPTION: This is the most representative phase of Cubism and in which Braque and Picasso will be able to take further what they had theoretically postulated before.
It is from the analytical phase that Cubism begins to be called abstract painting &ndash; which was far from the artists&rsquo; intention, but which is understandable due to the almost unrecognizable result of the representation. This representation results from the simultaneous and multifaceted view of several planes of the observed motif (introduction of the Fourth Dimension), making it almost seem to be imploding on the canvas and the object loses its formal characteristics recognizable at first sight. Even so, certain statism in the forms is maintained through the use of flattened planes
