Alright, so I just wanted to show kind of how the average business directory is going to work. It looks just like Yelp, most of them try and be like Yelp or Google or Yahoo or local comm one of those types of networks. But all you're going to really do is if you haven't already, you can log in with a Facebook or with a Google or you can sign up with a brand new account, you know, email, everything, I'm just gonna enter all this in, say this. All right, there we go. We're gonna sign up just like that. It's gonna obviously ask for our phone number.
We want to upload a photo that we have our information for our business is a lot better. But with that being said, you just go ahead and save continue And you can actually sign up then for a business listing, which is going to then allow you to add your information about an address that isn't already in here. And most of that's going to be done through either a back end or you're going to try and look up your own self. You know, maybe I look up Zach Miller in downtown Atlanta. Now, it's not gonna say anything, but there, you'll see, if the business you're looking for is in here, go ahead and add it. So I'm just going to say this is my business.
And then it's going to ask you to fill all of this information out. Once you do, it's then going to usually Yelp most of the time does a verification by phone number, a phone number doesn't work, then they do a post card. Those are the main verification purposes. Each website is going to have different verifications, most of them, most of them only Google's probably the most physical enduring, in which it sends out literally A pin card most or via phone number. And if that phone number works, and they can call, they're going to, you know, say this is Yelp and we wanted to give you the password 444123, enter that in, that's going to verify you. Usually it's pretty instant.
Google takes a little bit of time, usually one to two weeks. They do that, obviously, because they want to make sure that your business you're willing to wait, this isn't something where you're trying to game a system or do something that's very blackhat. Everything else, of course, is a little bit faster. Some others use postcards, not too many. Usually it's just Google and Bing, sometimes Yelp, Yahoo used to but they don't anymore. So like I say, just kind of entering all your information, make sure all that and name, address phone that all matches perfectly.
As long as that does. Then you're all set ready to go. Once you have that you're going to be registered and you're adding your business inside of Yelp. Of course, you're going to be able to accept reviews from there and you're ready to rock and roll.
