DESCRIPTION:
How To Train:
For your overhead training, you will need a partner and someone who can produce an accurate lob-feed.
Phase 1: You’ll start right at the net, at the center. Hold the racket like you would hold a hammer. As soon as you are feeding a lob turn from the waist and track the ball with your off-hand. If you want you can point at the ball if that helps. I recommend slicing at the overhead, it can help with accuracy. Simply carve at the outside area of the ball. After you successfully hit the overhead jog back to the net and repeat. Start off slow and hit at half speed. The difficulty of this drill can be adjusted by the height, depth, spin, and speed of the feed. Start off doing sets of 10 and work your way up to 20 a set. Practice this at least 3 times a week 20 mins at a time.
Phase 2: In this phase, you will add the practice of placement. Try rotating your shot selection cross-court and down-the-line and even some overheads straight down the center of the court. Remember...
