Welcome back to Twitter tycoon. In this video, we're going to talk about daily deals and discounts. So daily deals and discounts are basically offered deals that have a built in time limit. You've probably heard of some of these sites like Groupon gifts, gilt city. livingsocial mighty deals, save ology, other sales and promotions that serve your niche. Okay, these are some of the best, but there's all kinds of daily deal sites.
In fact, once you've been doing this for a while, and you kind of figure out their whole model, you can actually start your own daily deals site. Remember a few tips here. THE BEST OFFERS come from name brands. Most major brands run their affiliate program through Commission Junction. They said do a Google search for the for the name of your niche and brand plus affiliate. Read about the program and decide if you want to join.
It will usually take you to the Commission Junction page if they run on cJ cj.com. On the signup page, look for a link to take Get to their CGA members area, and then just apply their affiliate program. Typically you get accepted pretty easily to Commission Junction, although you do have to apply for every offer. And then here's a quick walkthrough for Groupon. Okay, other sites have a similar kind of setup here. But basically, you're going to get your commission junction ID, which is called your P IB.
When you're logged into your CJ account, go to account settings and website settings. And then get the affiliate bookmarklet. input your commission junction p IV, and then install the bookmarklet into your web browser. Here you can click and drag the link to bookmark bar, except for Internet Explorer. So this is something you'll have to do with Firefox or Google Chrome or Safari, and then find a deal for your audience. Then you can select the Twitter icon and to share window will pop up from Twitter.
And from here, you can just edit the title of the deal for the tweet and then tweet it out. Really great way to use these daily deals and discounts really love this method, probably my second favorite to the CPA method. So get familiar with Commission Junction, great place to find some higher name brand products and then use these daily deals discount sites to tweet offers to your audience comes off a little less like an advertisement than the old sponsor tweets, and really gives you a lot of credibility when you're promoting, you know, name brands that people recognize.
