Okay, welcome back in this video we're going to talk about your audience. So the first thing you want to do is make a list of Twitter accounts can use Twitter search engine to find keywords, topics, hashtags, which is a little number sign and Twitter accounts to follow in your niche. You can use directories like we follow okay they rank everything by influence and we follow has a huge database. Some other good directories you can use our lists Taurus Atlas storage calm, tweet, find tweet, find calm Trello at Trello, calm and Twitter local at Twitter local dotnet will include these in the resources and in your workbook. You want to make sure that you walk away with about 20 to 30 Twitter accounts relevant to your niche. And then we're going to analyze those accounts.

So look at who they are. Sorry, look at who they're following and who's following them. Okay, you'll have a rough idea of what type of person follows this account. Okay, so watching other side watching other Twitter accounts and seeing who follows them is going to give you a really good idea of who will be following you. Then you can take a look at their tweet streams to see a few things. You want to look at what they're tweeting, what their reach tweeting, what they're linking to, what hashtags they're using.

Okay, hashtags are important because they help you show up in the Twitter search engine. You'll see what's getting retweeted by their followers. You also see what's getting favorited by their followers, okay, so look at all these different things, few resources you can use here. grep, tweak, basically scrapes a user's Twitter stream, okay. And then you can perform searches using regular expression or find matching text. Okay, so grep tweets great for this.

It also is an easy way to find recurring patterns or themes in an accounts tweet history. It will also let you download tweets and plain text. Okay, so this is a great resources that will actually let you do a lot with Twitter. Then Fave star shows tweets from an individual user, they get a high number of retweets and favorites. So this is important because it's going to give you a really good idea of the type of content you'll want to be creating, because that's one of your goals is to get a lot of retweets, people sharing your content for you making it viral, and favoriting your content, which is basically liking your content. Your goal is to help you here to generate good and fresh ideas, things maybe you haven't thought of.

Okay? So always use these resources to your advantage. Then you want to find the right keywords. Okay, so find keywords that will help you get potential followers, use followerwonk as a Twitter analysis tool, basically what followerwonk will do for you, it'll help you get an idea of what your potential followers are. It will help you get an idea of who your potential followers are. You'll also analyze the followers of a specific Twitter account.

For their location, their gender, their influence, age of when their followers open Twitter accounts. So it gives you a lot of great demographic information here, and also scrapes the biographies of a user's followers. Okay, so now now you're getting some really good information, you're really getting to know your market at this point by using this tool, and that's going to help you decide what kind of content you want to distribute. Now for mining Twitter data, you can use tweet charts. Okay, tweet charts can help you search for URL hashtags, usernames, okay, so this can help you find users find power users, see what they're tweeting what hashtags are using. The most useful here are Top Words, most mentioned users and top hashtags.

Okay, so those are the three things that you want to be looking for with tweets, charts. And then tag death is a great resource as well tag that will help you find The dictionary definition for hashtags using tag death. So, tag def will help you find the dictionary definition for hashtags. It'll show a meeting and how it's used. Okay? It also shows new and popular hashtags, okay?

So if you're not quite sure what some of these hashtags mean, tag death will give you a really good description of it so you know how to use it in your content. Then you want to organize target lists, okay, so what you're going to do is you're going to organize your competitors and partners, you know, see who you're competing against. They will likely share their followers with you, and then monitor what they're tweeting what they're linking to. Also, take note of how they're monetizing their tweets, you know, what are they sending people to? What are they? What are their offers, you know, how are they making money here.

You also want to organize press outlets, okay. These are people who will potentially do a write up on your Twitter account or feature some of your tweets getting retweets from the press will increase your follower count obviously because it's going to give you a big range. And then to get more targeted in your niche do a Google News search for a top Twitter accounts plus your niche. Okay, so just go to Google News type in top Twitter accounts and quotes and your niche whatever it is whether it's making money online now health and fitness dating relationship advice, you know building chicken coops whatever then you want to organize a list of influencers these are accounts most people in a particular niche follow. Okay, so once you start doing research using these tools, you're going to notice that there are some power influencers. Okay, so these are people that you definitely want to follow and benchmark.

Few things you want to look at here. You want to look at the account that has more followers than follows Okay, they're they're being followed more than they're following. Also, take note of the account. Also, take note that the account will frequently retweet and reply to followers okay. You want people that are also retweeting and replying because those are the people that you want to be benchmarking. And then finally, you want to target your followers, followers represent your target market.

They will follow more accounts than they have followers. Okay, so you want to find the people, they're actually following more people than they're being followed. And then find out who these people were following and what tweets they favorite. So in this video, you may want to go back through this we're giving you a lot of great information here for kind of watching your audience and watching your competitors and monitoring the press and using a lot of great tools to do that.
