All right, so welcome back again. So in this particular session, we'll be trying to see the different terminal emulators that you can use on a Linux or a Unix based system. So the first and the default terminal that comes with every Unix be stemis. Conducting a gnome terminal, we decide this or it can be a normal kiddie table, right. So this is going to be something very simple. So let's see the BIOS terminal emulators that we can install.

These are the most common is one. So we have the gnome terminal, which comes by default like this one, which is this one. And then we can also have the STM. We also have the emulator we have to have console India server and this right back let's see how to install these ones in our operating system. So first of all to install this the commands to be here I have listed all the commands and a GB in our resources so they can actually check it. So let's install them.

So first of all to install SDM, just go straight away to this, okay? So do you have to be a pseudo Yuda. Get installed as the right. If it is going to install it going to ask for your password then it's going to install it perfectly for us right so it is installing it install steam. Then we just click on Yes, that's one of the ways of installing SDM on your system. So to take some time to install it on your system.

So setting up steam on Steam that is one of the ways of working with St analyse how to also install after this we'll see how to install the meta and then how to install there is so the simplest way of installing the emulator that you're supposed to add this nominator to your BP right? You apt PPA for that is the first and then after that you're going to update your sources list then you can install Terminator so just finish by now If it is they must finish. Now let's install the rest. So to install the meter, just come back to this place you add this particular option to your PPA is going to be the first thing, because I've already installed it's just going to give me that just be updated, right. So this is going to be the newest Google to enter is going to add it to it.

The next option is that to just update it, then you install emulator to take some time to update everything. It's just finished and I'm just going to update it. Then after updating, I will just install it on my system right so to install it just go to the theme option. So sudo apt get install. So just copy it and then I'll just don't worry about the code. Everything will be in the resources below this stove vinita is going to automatically install to have already installed committer.

There is a second option. Now let's see how to install console. So to install console, this is the same option sudo apt get install console with the dash y representative. So that doesn't ask you for any questions. So tomorrow we're going to install it straight away. So with the why, right?

If it's stolen, it's perfectly then the other community that you can still use. For terminal emulators can actually use so you can just check that out. So it is still running at some time. So it was sticking some time. Let's explore our normal non terminal, so we just go to default option, then you can just click on new tab right to click on new tab you can do it from here, which is going to give you the new tab or you can just go with Shift Ctrl T right to open a new tab. So that is one of the ways of getting a new tab.

Very excited. There are lots of things you can do. In case you want to close it up. Just do the same thing right close it up or Shift Ctrl w or shift Ctrl q right that is the basic idea. Okay, so something very simple now let's see how to work with our STM to start STM from here. All of the terminals can be started from another terminal.

So congested terminal is done from here. It's going to open STM for us, right. So now this is how SDM looks like. So this step is different from the normal, no tape. So let's position and put them side by side. Perfect.

So that is how it's done, just like the normal internet by just having some new or interesting stuff, right? Very, very simple, very basic. So you can just do the same thing. Everything will work perfectly as expected, right? So just how it is going to give you a totally different interface than the normal thing. Like That is something very peaceful about it.

So you can just click on this to minimize move. And then do some interesting stuff, at least for the SD. So if I do the same thing like the C tree, we're going to make pivot to just like everything works in the normal terminal. Very interesting. Let's stop it. So this is from STM.

And then we get out of it, right clicking, that is for a step. Now let's see the next one. So by now it has finished with our console. Perfect. So in case we want to see how quick this console from the terminal to any of these templates can be launched from our terminal, right, so this is how the console looks like the console today different is having this particular bar at the top and just the one that comes by default with kiddie form. So this is to go with this.

And now it's going to open it perfectly new. Right so we have two different tabs here. includes the phase one can can also open it When he gets out to get a new tab, it's going to bring the new tab down, right? The new tab is here. Let's explain better. So this is the normal terminal.

The normal nothing, no the tabs at the top here, right? But they clearly control the tabs at the bottom, right there at the bottom. If I start something like C, LS here, this is at the bottom, and this is here, right? So that is the difference between the console. And then that is one of the difference between console and the normal gnome terminal. Very interesting, very simple.

Now let's look at another time now and compare that one to two for the Terminator to d&d. There's a lot of things you can do, which is one of the things I prefer within the emulator. With Demeter going to be intimidated for us to tell you that gives you the option of opening several tabs in a very nice format to all like the normal. No Turner, we have this particular topic. Divided right into three or four bytes of data, military can do a lot less exploded to the belief that they can actually split, they split it horizontally, so that you have two different types on a top one at the bottom, and it is split this one into vertical. We have one here, one here.

And then you can even split this one again into horizontal, right. So it gives you multiple windows to be doing differently, which is very interesting, very exciting when you're trying to run or create ACLs. Right. So template is very, very interesting, very cool. And also, with a lot of feature that allows you to read something interesting about it. We can also go to preferences and then can just make your changes as you wish, right?

Yes, I didn't know much and you can do for any other terminal. That is the basic idea behind it. And also check with encodings and then do other stuff. Very interesting with it. So in case you want to close this, I can also go to diabetes it and to close that particular tab. Put a different difference between these two that for the Terminator, you can create them multiple tabs by splitting the right for the normal team, the most normal team now, the tabs at the top here that is installed by default.

Then we can also have the normal as right or the console, which is this one. Right. So decided differences between all of them right now so thank you for watching this tutorial and see you in the next session. Stay blessed.
