So we're looking to keep going with how to play the sax. And in this lesson, we'll continue on, we learned some new notes. last lesson. Let us add in one more, actually two more new notes. And we'll open up a new can of worms and hopefully we'll see how we go. But the first new note we're going to do today is a C sharp, a C sharp, and this is the trickiest of all notes ready because there are no fingers involved at all.

You do not need fingers to play a C sharp, so C sharp, nothing on the left hand, nothing on the right hand, totally open. Okay, no things at all. It sounds like this. There's the C sharp, okay, really hard. So let's move. Let's just practice and sort of recap from where we were with the last lesson.

Let's play a C and A C sharp C, C sharp, C. C sharp. Let's do that. 12345 you go a little bit like a siren. That's okay. That's okay. Let's just recap.

Let's just do a quick couple of notes. G, A, B, C, G, A, B, C. Let's do that twice. Really? 1234. Cool. That's good.

Let us do down low, D, E, F sharp, D, E, F sharp. Let's try that. Counting. Let's try it again. 123 hot. Now again, when you're playing, make sure you're standing nice and straight.

Make sure your next steps in the right height, make sure it pivot the sexify and pivots on the next step on the little hook, India mouth. I am holding my saxophone up to the camera so that you can see what I'm doing with my fingers. But I want you to stand very still. So, again, we've just talked about C sharp, let's go G, A, B, C sharp, G, A, B, C sharp. Let's try that 1234 cool, good. Let's see.

Try now. G, F, A, D, C, G, F, E, D, C. Let's try that one, too. All right, so we've got, just to recap, we have done a new note, C sharp with no fingers. We have touched on the other notes that we've learned in previous lessons. Let us try one more. One more new notes.

And that new note is a D. Now we've done these a D is all things on the left hand, all fingers on the right hand, but this time, let us add in on the back. We're adding in the register key. This little fella here with your thumb is the register key. So we are going from no fingers. This is it. This kind of starts to get a little bit brain straining, so suddenly fall over.

And it all gets a little bit complicated because he Brian's heading, that's okay. don't damage the saxophone if you fall over. Sorry, I'm kidding. bad jokes again. Sorry. Actually, again, not.

I enjoyed being in embarrassing dead. Let's keep going. So, C sharp, nothing. And then we're going to go all fingers all at once. And the register key at the back. Okay?

Say that again, no fingers to all fingers, including the register kid the back. So have a listen. This is what it should sound like. C sharp first to the D with all fingers and the register key. Okay. See you Try, let's try that again.

Ready? One, two. It is a little bit tricky. If you want to press stop on the video right now, and maybe give that a little bit more of a go. Or if you're ready to continue. Let's keep going.

So continuing on, well let's start down a low D, low D. So the low D is without the register key, no register key. And we will go from low, D, E, F sharp, G, A, B, C sharp D with the register key. So start down low and we're going up high. Let's try that 123 again, let's go up, and then we'll go back down again this time ready? 12123 how'd you go? Excellent.

Well done. You did great. Well, of course you did really well, I know that you did really well. Now what we've just done, there is a D major scale. Within the last lesson, we played a C major scale. Here, we've just learned another scale D major.

So let's recap that. We have in the previous lesson, we did C major with the low Pinkie note. So C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C, back then again, C, B, A, G, F, E, D, C, that's the C major. And today's lesson we're done. D major, D, E, F sharp, G, A, B, C sharp, D, all fingers and the register key at the back. Let's do that.

121234 C major. Now we'll do D major, D, E, F sharp, G, A, B, C sharp, D all fingers with the register key. All right ready? Starting on a low D without the register key 123 Excellent. We've now ticked off two scales, C major, and D major. We've added a few new notes.

We've got c sharps, we've got low C's, we've got an F shops and F's, f shops and F's, C shops and c c shops and C's with added the register key for D. How many more notes can we add in? actually quite a few but what I want you to do scales scales are the vegetables again of the music, scales of vegetables of music, you have to eat vegetables, otherwise you won't grow up to being strong. Same deal with scales, scales and music. You have to do them because otherwise your fingers sort of don't quite work probably, but may I suggest don't spend any more than two minutes on screen. Every time you practice, they're a good thing to warm up with. So, unpack your saxophone, put it together, pick it up, play a C major scale, up and down, up and down a couple of times, then play a D major scale up and down, up and down a couple of times, and you're done.

That's all you need to do. scales are good. Well done to new scales. Congratulations. I will see you in the next exciting episode of how to play the sax. I'll see you in the next lesson.

Thanks
