So, this is our measure and this is the model we have created previously. So, so you can see here, this is a 3d model, so forth let's go with 2d element creation methods. So for that, so let's take our midplane to this. So that that can be considered as a 2d object in that case, right. So if you go to tools here you can see mid surface. So just select one face, hold Ctrl select two faces, upgrade and regenerate.

So now you can see we have our mid surface right so normally the most surface we can consider it as or 2d where the thickness is point 01 meters. So that is normally very high, but we can consider it test or 2d. So once we are done with that just click on candidate go to project window where you can refresh the project so that it is going to be updated in the measure also. So, still it is getting updated. So, now it's okay. So you can see now so normally did we delete our program in the in the mesh, so automatic mesh see if you right click and generate mesh so automatically, it is Going to create a mesh here.

So you can see now. So, these are mid surface. So, you can see. So this is automatic method. So definitely it is going to be create elements here you can see program control. If you drop down it you can see advanced friend but always program control is better one.

So, here you can find the mesh properties, different properties. Before going to that let's see how we can change this elements. So let's say here we have the brick elements, right? So let's say in 2d that is quiet. So if you want to change it element types, so right click on the mesh go to Insert. So, if you choose method right, so, here automatic method is there, before that select the geometry click apply and here method quadrilateral quads.

So, if you want to change it to triangles, so you can choose triangles and updated so, it is getting updated. If you click on mesh now you can see the changing mesh elements right. So this is how we can change the element type since it is a 2d or we could find only two methods. One is quiet triangles and multi zones right So, multi zone method means where we help where we have multiple zones. So in that john sippy how to create mesh we can use the multi zone method. But for now, the 2d mesh is clear you can see the thickness but when you are trying to select only the mid plane is going to be selected that means this is 2d just for the representation or it is looking like 3d right.

So, I hope now we have seen both 2d elements as well as triangular and quiet right. so here we can see details of mesh. So what are the elements we have created here? So as he said, we can create to first order and second order, the default mesh, what we have created is of first order mesh, right? So we'll see how we can change this to second order elements and how we can change the number of elements. And how we can make it as a small means fine mesh, where the number of elements will be more, and the coarse mesh, the number of elements will be high.
