In our final section of our class, we're going to be discussing running reports. I'm going to go ahead and click Sign In. Oops, sorry, invalid password. I'm going to click Sign In. And I'm going to select reports at the top of the screen. Now in the left corner, you'll see various reports that can be read.
We can see reports on tickets by account, by contact information, by mode by priority, or by status of the ticket. Let's go ahead and select by contact. Now when we select to run a report based on Contact we see the contact name. We see Anna Clark, Jackie Wilson, Kevin Spacey, Nancy Wilson, also the ticket owner, the subject the channel. And what's more important is the time the ticket was created, along with the phone number and email. Now we can filter our reports based on different criterias.
Right, we can select the drop down, we can go by contact mode the last 80 days, 180 days last month, start end date and so forth. The reason why it's good to stay on top of reports is because sometimes a nightie the amount of work that you do, can kind of be misconstrued. There's a very famous quote that says men lie. Women lie, but numbers don't. So it's always good to stay on top of just how many tickets you're closing. As an IT professional.
A lot of times when we're on maybe a team with six, seven people is almost guaranteed that someone's going to think that they close more tickets than someone else or someone, maybe you did the work. You come in the next day, if for some reason that ticket that you did your work on is gone out of your ticket queue, someone else may have closed it, trying to take credit for the work that you've done. So it's always important to run reports on yourself to make sure you have an accurate count of the tickets and the work that you've completed. I hope you guys enjoyed this class.
