In this video we're looking at combining whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, and eighth notes. In the first bar, This example shows one half note making up beats one and two, followed by a quarter note making up beat three. Then there's an eighth rest indicating silence for the first half of beat four, and an eighth note on the second half of beat four. In bar two, we have to see chords, both made up of half notes, making up the first and second beats, and the third and fourth beats respectively. In bar three, we have four eight notes comprising beats one and two, and see how they're all joined with a common flag. There is a C chord made up of quarter notes on beat three, followed by a quarter wrist indicating silence for beat four.
