DESCRIPTION: Activity: Storyboards
Instructor note: Sessions of six or fewer total hours should use a single 3-act storyboard as there will not be time to film a more complex story.

Distribute two blank storyboard templates (showing either a 3-act or 6-scene story) to each production group. Allow each group to choose a student to begin drawing the scenes in the boxes and a second to begin writing the scene descriptions on the second storyboard. Any other members of the production group should be in charge of the Story Elements worksheets and keeping them updated with notes. Remind participants to rotate roles periodically to allow everyone to fully participate in the exercise.
Encourage students to trade-off roles as needed to keep everyone engaged. Emphasize that storyboards can be as basic as stick figures as long as they illustrate the action in that scene.
