Now before we start editing, I would suggest you to create a folder and save the footage and music separate. Trust me, this will help us save a lot of time we're looking for clips. In this folder, I have all the footage that we're going to use. And over here I will do music clips. I'm using a Windows 10 PC. And most of the things that we learned today are similar on Mac boys as well.

Once you start Premiere Pro, it will take you to the home screen. The Home screen you will find any recent projects that we have been working on. If this is your first time obviously will not find anything. We can start a new project or open an existing project which is not listed here. Now we will be selecting new project. First thing to do is name your project.

I'm going to name it skills tutorial. And for the location, we'll have to select a place where Premiere Pro can save the project files. Click on Browse and locate the folder Do you want I'm going to choose desktop. As I have all my relevant video located there. We do not have to worry about the remaining options here as they are much more advanced. Now to check if your project is saved, go back to the folder and check.

Here we have a project file. So now we have successfully created our first project file.
