Hi, welcome to hooks flows and funnels. My name is George Beverly, and in this screencast. So let's ask ourselves a pretty brutal question again, why bother measuring your funnel? It sounds technical, sounds difficult, but actually, I think it's really, really important that we do so let's just talk through why I think it's important to measure the funnel. And I think the first and most important part of why we suggesting or recommending that you measure is it shows which areas are working and the areas that need your attention. You're busy, you've got a lot on your plate, you're running your own business.

What you want to do is just focus on the things that aren't working, everything's going swimmingly, that's brilliant, you need not worry about it, but what you need to do is focus on the Is the funnel wherever that is at the top or at the bottom that need work. If you've got yourself a small team around you, or perhaps you've got some investment or some people have put some money into your business, you need to actually communicate and report to those people about what's happening. If you've got people who are your sales guys, or people who are responsible for actually converting, then you need to share this information around you need to see which parts need the work and which parts you can assign to other people if you've got people or which bits of the funnel or elements of it that you need to perhaps outsource and get other people to work on.

So capturing and communicating these reports from the funnel are really important to communicate to your team, however big that is. And I think sort of following on from that your reports and the data you get back from measuring the funnel is going to allow you to build a business case for investment. So if you are going to the bank or you're going for funding or you need To talk to somebody some other investors about putting money in, and the sales funnel is a great place to take them straight to because it's almost a snapshot of your sales process into numbers. It shows how many people or how many customers coming in through the top the tools and the techniques you're using to push them and nurse them all the way down. And then finally, with the numbers, the hard sales, conversion numbers, you're showing them how successful ultimately your business really is.

So that is the bottom line building a business case for investment. If you don't have investors, or you're not going to the bank, and you're spending your own money, it's actually a really good discipline, because it's saying to you, hey, look, remove the emotion about pouring loads of cash into your own business funnels will actually show you how much money you need to invest to grow the business. So it's a great discipline to have. So that's why we measure the funnel. I hope you found that useful, and I'll see you in the next lesson.
