Sit in a chair with back support, or
Sit on the bed with the legs flat
Lean back, semi-reclined, or find a right angle that is relaxed and supported
Dress the baby lightly or practice safe skin-to-skin with both infant shoulders touching the mother and the infant’s chest expanded
Place the infant’s tummy down and in full contact with the semi-reclined body.
Cuddle or nest the infant with arms.
Let gravity support the infant; there is no need to apply pressure along the infant’s back or neck to keep the infant in place
Latch the infant anywhere along the 360° circle of the breast
