DESCRIPTION: Parturients will feel tired and sleepy after laboring; they should have to get enough sleep and rest.
The body will be painful as it has undergone trauma, thus, relieving the pain. Ensure that the mother is happy and prepare methods to alleviate pain such as distracting them from chatting and preparing extra cushions and pillows to adjust the sitting position. Due to the perineal wound and uterine contraction pain, parturients are suggested to adopt a semi-supine position when sleeping.
Breastfeeding is recommended half an hour to one hour after delivery. The sucking stimulates the acceleration of the secretion of prolactin.
Treatment of Lochia: Parturients should get out of bed as soon as possible after childbirth. Taking a small walk 8 hours after childbirth is beneficial to promote the elimination of lochia, prevent constipation, help physical recovery, increase appetite, and promote breast milk production.
