DESCRIPTION: 1. First week - appetizer
Parturient on the first few days after childbirth is weak. Focusing on appetizing the taste buds is more important than replenishing nutrients immediately. This does not mean that the parturient should be given anything they crave for but this means that they should be given liquid food that balances the nutritional values and the taste. It is impossible to replenish the new mom just after the first few days of childbirth and it is a mistake if they are loaded with nutrients.
2. Second week - blood enrichment and vitamins

Wounds from either natural labor or cesarean sections have healed. This stage of meal planning should focus on replenishing nutrients such as iron and various vitamins for regulating blood circulation. Intake of adequate fiber is necessary for preventing constipation.
3. Third week and onwards - soups are still important
Soups allow parturients to stay hydrated and are rich in nutrients. Soups and fluids are also beneficial to lactation....
