Here's a short little tip. Don't find yourself waiting on something, maybe it's something somebody is going to do. Maybe it's the delivery of something. Maybe it's just you need to remember to do something. Keep a list of outstanding items. So that every couple of days, you can check through that and see if there's anything you should be chasing up.
We forget things. I keep two of those lists. I keep one of them is a physical list for physical things. But if I order something on the internet, or I send a message to somebody using an email, and I'm waiting for an answer, then instead of filing the sent email in the right folder, long term, or file the sent email in an outstanding folder, along with any the order then once A week or so, once or so a week, I will look at that outstanding folder, anything that's been delivered, I could delete the email or file the email that I got as a receipt from ordering it. Any thing that I've sent a question or center, an email to someone I've received reply, I could properly file the original. But I can also see where I've sent emails in place.
I've ordered things and they haven't been delivered, and they're late, but just allows me to keep track of stuff. So keep an outstanding folder in your email system. Keep an outstanding list for things that don't involve email. Don't try and consolidate them all onto one that's probably a bit too complicated. Just make it easy to keep track of the outstanding stuff. That way, you might miss something important.
