Hi there, let's take a quick look at your everyday life and how you can be more mindful in it. So as a refresher, mindfulness is keep your mind active, accepting and aware in the present moment. So doing whatever you're doing with awareness, acceptance, and an inactive way. Another way to look at this is observing what you're doing without worrying so much about how it turns out. And sometimes we do need to worry about how it turns out. Sometimes we have work standards, work deadlines, sometimes we need to, to be mindful of those and that's okay.
So in those types of situations, we do our best we do our very best. And we don't worry so much about Oh, I'm horrible at this. I owe that I could that could have been done so much faster. And oh, I'm just such an idiot for not thinking That kind of thinking is not helpful. Maybe next time do it a bit faster. Sure.
But the overthinking over analyzing, oftentimes isn't very helpful. So if we need to work within certain deadlines to certain standards, that's fine. We can still be focused. We can be active, accepting of how we're, how we're doing it, and then aware of ourselves while we're doing it. So, take a few minutes, as long as you like, actually make a list. What are some everyday activities that you could do more mindfully practicing mindfulness in this way in little bits throughout the day, build up a habit of being calm, grounded, centered, like a mountain.
And these can be the most mundane things in the world. Putting on your socks, picking up your keys from the counter, turning off the TV, loading the dishwasher cleaning, walking to the car. Really it doesn't have it doesn't have to be anything very glorious at all. Nothing too epic, nothing too amazing just everyday activities that you do. Hmm, what could you do in a more mindful way to build up this habit? take as long as you like, and I'll see you in the next video.
