Welcome back to my seventh class. And on Azure DevOps server of TFS, formerly TFS Team Foundation Server of this class is about queries, that means reports to generate the inputs. Okay, this is about how to create reports. We'll talk about this query section. So this will be pretty short class. Because I will be giving you one example and we know you can rest of them you can do it yourself.

Okay. So we lost them. We have no I've shown you how to open defect, right. This time we'll we'll see how we know if you see in the code overview and dashboard. Now you see here the Some things are updated here and got some more open users. story in some of the things are getting worse here.

Okay, if you see here there is no there is no test case. The story interesting that you don't have this case in this, but you know, but there's no districts that stuff, but for you if you want to test case you can go ahead and click on the particular distress here and view this one. Okay, so you can do that here. And so that's how you can view this one test cases. Okay, so let's go to case queries is here means actually, um, to get a reports report in sense to get the graph. So you have various graphs right you have this Ebola burndown chart.

Burn up chart velocity chart. If you see here, there's some chart automatically drawn for you. If you go to board the senior click on this to see this iteration, no Fine. Let's click on this this is also a chart you can indeed All right, good, good do that things. Oh, and you knew or we have a lot of options here. Good.

You can also that you said this is this is more of a combat process. I told you. This is a combat process. So this is more of a project management tool, rather test management tool. Okay. So if you don't know how to read this chart, you can go ahead and click on this how to read this chart.

So there is a year in this you know, the x axis and y axis the work item and you know, this is not a burn down or burn up chart, but this is a cumulative flow chart. You can edit it and as per your comments, you can also added the similar way you can do this velocity. And how do you read this? The velocity means how are the team moving forward and how we are doing in order to move forward with this. So do pretty much about this graph. Alright, so let's go to these queries.

And can I delete this? Yeah. So I'll delete this. Okay, so I'll go ahead and create a new query. So here you have this option of creating charts, basically or creating charts. Let's create few charts.

The first thing let's see what I was told this, you can have this option fee which field you want really Exactly. Sometimes your boss will say no, create a report Create a repo for this and you have to figure it out which date you want this accepted date or activated date and all those things. So here, what I try to see here is let's see what I got to through status created by. So there's a lot of options here for me. So what I do here is this too many things to be done. work.

Okay. Okay, so here what I do here is I'll take simple thing, assigned to, simple for now, you have this option operator you can use greater or equal to greater than or equal to contains doesn't contain All those tips are new, simple. And here I find this assigned to me. Okay? And once I do this, I'll run this query. So I see this larger things.

I have tasks. I have test cases, I have user stories, Bob, part of things are saying to me, good. Now how to say this query. If I have to run this child, save this query, in our cookie does, I know I need a chart one. chart, one on iTunes and put it on my screen. Go ahead and click on that.

Ok, good. Now what happens here is no one to view this chart. Go ahead and click on this chart. And once again, Had this Udemy and discharged and assigned to and how are you aggregating it, you're reading the count of work items value. I love it. I think maybe the ascending or descending is the same.

If I want a different car, probably I'm taking a different color. I'll take magenta is magenta. And you can get this chart, pie chart if you want by if you like bar graph, you got rid of the bar, column two and column graph, stag bar. Oh, this timer you need x axis we put as state that's good. So this time by in progress is one new is one active the two ready to design to I can't export this properly, but I can print it up close to it. Printed October you know you can pirate table you can do this pirate table too.

And stack area you know absorption is the 19th emax at this time in the last seven days and you have this area taught before you can get the NEA taught at this time for 17 that is we have this Magnum P. Okay. And this line chart, you can get the slide champ for 17 the slide and click OK. And I get this chart. Oh guess what I can create chart probably. And keep on okay. So I can create this a number of charts here for a minute. However I wanted but xx as a state by exercise pool is one item type.

And go ahead and click on that. Okay, now let's create few more charts. Again I'll go ahead here and I want that video or do you want to stand with the with the state and go ahead and click on this stack job. So this is a stack chart, this is a line chart, this is a bar chart and this is so there are a lot of charts you can make use of it. Okay. And you can go ahead anytime you can create your own chart, go ahead and click on new chart and you can have this your own chart okay.

So here I made it simple, but it might not be simple every time. You can configure edit You're gonna name this chart as mine chart. Okay. So this is john that makes more sense. Here we'll make it as a, you know, I'll make it as a bar chart. We've made that bar, forget bar chart BodyTalk and click on okay.

Make sense. So this this should be you know, this is tagged bar. So I press Tab bar out, okay. And I can edit this do tact area job. For me, I was like, Oh, this is bacteria and China. Let's create new jobs the weekend.

Pilot table. So we put a stake, and we will work I don't see here, we put as fiber cable child. Oops, sorry. And then click on OK. So here it shows up. So here you know, but you know before using this chart you have to use this query.

Because you cannot use this chart without opening the credit. There's a problem. Okay, this is very important to use this, okay? And that's how you can be on discharge. And once you work on user story, these charts get updated automatically. See here in first shot.

The reason of refreshing is it's based on bold Let's see here. I know you move this user study or create new items and when you create this new item, this thing, you know, in chart it, everything gets changed. On this thing automatically gets changed. And I know because just because you created a new item, and I mean new new user study, new test case, and everything gets changed here automatically. Okay. Let's create a few more challenges charter we have the senior this video.

Okay, so this shows no, if you don't know how to use this chart, go ahead and click on this They don't have this option, pie chart. This thing, this doesn't make any sense. Oh, this thing does here. Okay, this is good. So what I'll do here is we'll pull this pie chart count, okay? Oh, and you can only have six charts at one time, all the time.

So you have this pie chart, bar charts, Tab bar chart, stacked area chart poverty chart area. So this is how you can create a charts for you know, for your reporting purposes for reporting and moving you can hide this. So here, you know, we if you weren't you can expand it sub to you. So this is how you can use this chart option. Okay, but it has to go to queries, what you're trying to do name the query for me, we interviewed me. Great.

Okay. And that's how you can use this. So that's pretty much about discharge. And that sums up the whole issue of DevOps, you know, as a testing perspective, I'm sorry, I actually, I'd be more specific on this. And I also feel that this is more on to as a testing perspective, I didn't explain much about spring, how to create spring because you need this admin, admin access. You know, you cannot create I hydration.

I cannot do that because I don't have access, right. I have to be an admin guy. Go do this. Oh, guess what in 10 or 20. darking sounds good to me. On audits, a few of you liked him, probably I've done is good. So you have this options.

You can change and the UCC age or you need to have this in a DFS. So everybody knows what you're trying to do. And you know, this is sort of the usage status analysis, you know, dated. Okay, so that's the world. So that's pretty much about Azure DevOps. If so, you know, first you need to, as I told you, right, if you want to create an organization, in that you have to create a project okay.

So he had at this time only we can create one project, you cannot create multiple projects recently because you know, this is a Community Edition not in our corporate. In the corporate, it's, you have the stacks and because there are license, here only one license, so standalone license, not corporate, so does the reason, you know, you have any one thing. So that's how, you know, that's pretty much about it. We didn't go on to repos, panel files, change sets of pieces at different work altogether, a different team or not developer team, but the team might also work with a middleware team actually. So we call it as for my experience or somebody on your team, who uses you know, to bring the code from one environment to the another environment. And actually, you know, they know what when developers and testers to make them to bring into production.

Right? So that sounds like me. So that's pretty much so I end up here. I wanted you know, if you have any questions, or any suggestions, I know I am leaving a bit fast on this, but some people may not have like, really fast. But you know, you can try it out, you can try it out. Access.

I hope you like this video, if we did, we didn't go to pipelines to pipelines is also, you know, part of this middleware team. We can create one unit, try one, you can try it, create a pipeline, but you don't want to this GitHub axis or big bucket. And then we wanted to do that because this is the third party tool and you want to use a third party repository, you want to use this repository and you want to use the URL, all those things. It's pretty complex, but not complex. I mean, it's it's it's a different job altogether. So far we have just learned at the testing perspective.

To be honest, I just explained as a distinct perspective, you can go over you once you have access. You can work as a developer or tester, Scrum Master or middleware team over technical analysis, they might call this technical analyst data warehousing is our you know, moderating people they have various ranks in this so you might, you know, you can use anything on this. So you can learn your things you can learn by yourself. Once you're on this axis. The priming groups as I told you, right, the middle will be To actually deploy this so so that's pretty much x artifacts cannot actual artifacts. This is a Community Edition.

So we don't have artifacts for deployment. Nope. Let's say you're deploying your code to production, then you move on you have this artifacts you don't have. Yeah, you have this Asia license, I don't have this license. So, of course, even if you sign up, you will not have nicer. So that's pretty much that sums up whole Azure DevOps.

So I hope you like this video. Okay. Um, there's a lot of Okay, if you know if you are having a hard time to understand it. You can send an email or I'll send you some documentation on this or these people. Oh, yeah, you have this help. Okay, let's see what hell you guys have.

So you can read This documents if you have any issues, okay, go ahead and refer Oh, this is way too much. But go ahead and click on this and see in Spanish, just try to unfair understanding prospective notification What is this all about? And you know, or if you still need more help, you can contact me. Okay. So I will, you know, help you out as far as developer tester Scrum Master is concerned. Also, probably I try for me anyway is because this is a project management tool, not test management, to be honest, although I told you all the information about testing, but it's more of a project management.

Okay. So, you know, thanks for watching, and good luck. Oh, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out before you know the feedback, make sure you're having communication skills. Because if you're not communicating to me and giving a, you know, one star feedback that shows your communication skills to you, or you don't want to communicate it and just want to give it a bad remark, just because you didn't understood it, and you didn't even want to communicate it. I mean, that could be you know, it's, it's not good because that shows your communication skills. So make sure your communication skills are good.

So if you have any issues regarding the documentation are, you can contact me too. Okay. So before giving feedback, if you're giving negative feedback, reach out to me so that I will try to help you out as much as possible. Where my email id painter Penny will be having you can use this Udemy Mrs. Johnson, but then if I don't respond email is dead. So probably, you know, you know, I can email you, or I can email you or documentation or more helpful videos if you don't understand it. Okay.

So thanks for watching and good luck.
