So we discussed the offline method. Now let's move to the online method. As we discussed, the offline method took a little bit of time, anywhere from two to four weeks to my parents who ran their own direct mail campaigns eight to 12 weeks for an ROI. Compare that to the online method, it does the exact same thing. As you'll see here, you may be placing an advert on a website, editorial banners solo, we'll be getting into what all of those mean, but the idea is that your advert for your product is placed somewhere on the web, on the web or the internet. Once someone does see that advert, they're going to click through usually maybe a link or maybe clicking on that picture right there.
They're going to end up as I talked about, that one squeeze, they only have one thing to do, and that is put in that email. And once they do that, they click Submit. It goes off and like I said, we create a bridge, what I call a t, y p and that gets motivation for someone who is now a freebie buyer in that mindset of, Okay, well, I'm getting things for free. That's great. That's cool too. All right, I need you to take out your credit card, and it's for a very good reason.
And it changes that mindset shifts people when they're not ready to buy to get them ready to buy. And all of this happens, shifting them right to the sales page, someone makes a decision. Believe it or not, all of this happens in the course of about five to 15 minutes. Yes, you heard that right. The second that that clip comes through five to 15 minutes. All of this is done.
Comparing that to two to four weeks, you can understand why people can make so much money online. So extremely quick when you have a sales funnel that has leverage because it has been quantified for putting $1 in and advertising and getting X amount out. It's all about tracking those numbers. And when you track these specific numbers I'm going to be talking about later on, it makes it so easy. You don't have to find every number in the universe and find out, okay, this is what's gonna make me money, you only need to actually look at basically three main ones to understand what your ROI is return on investment. So that being said, then they bring up their credit card, they make that purchase and they go, I'm ready to trust you.
I'm ready to take that next step. Usually after this, I'll have a couple upsells In fact, I'll usually have three upsells Oh, there it goes. $7 The next one 197 and the other one 497. And guess what? I have about 25% of people that buy that because I offer it 16% here 11% here. All of those means that I have something called an average cart value in the law.
That we get that average cart value, it means the more that we can spend. And this online method has been taken place from the offline method to create an environment in which the entire life of a sale is basically sped up extremely fast exponentially, to say the least. And like I said, five to 15 minutes people are deciding from I saw your advert to I signed up to your email list, the way you do the tip, the way that I show you to the sales page, and they're buying anywhere from what I usually suggest is like I do a free plus shipping, which means this books free, all you do is pay the shipping, whatever that may cost. And then that you have your credit card, and they'll buy upwards of like you said, Sorry, they're $750 in products. That's amazing, right, just from a simple, little free plus shipping, and that's what we're looking for that leverage.
The online method does this and it compresses everything very quickly, very fast. And the reason why Because it's in a sales funnel, when you have a sales funnel, it makes this process all very quickly, very simply put into a modem that we can understand right. Now, the online method, do not mistake this, this has to be a sales funnel. Because if you are leaking out anything anywhere, if anything isn't quantifiable, or you don't know the exact process that a buyer will go through step by step, then you're losing sales. And that's where things can get messy. But I'm going to be taking you through each piece and we're going to make sure that that doesn't happen.
