Hi, my name is Jennifer Hancock. I'm the author of the bully vaccine and this is why bullies bully and what can be done about it. Now I teach this because we need science on this problem. This is one of those things that you know, bullying is kind of been going on for a really long time. It'd be nice if we got to stop. Maybe we could use science to get it to stop.

Yeah, so the science I teach is operant conditioning, which is behavioral psychology. Now, I learned this in college. But I actually learned in a really interesting way I was an animal trainer as a dolphin trader as a cognition laboratory, dolphin language cognition laboratory. And I learned not only the book knowledge about what had been learned about how behaviors are shaped and learned and unlearned, but also how to actually do it with real life animals. So I know how to extinguish unwanted behaviors. Using these techniques, I was apprenticed in them, and that's what I'm going to be teaching you in this course.
