DESCRIPTION: What will you learn in this course?
This course is designed to teach people how to establish and maintain healthy intimate relationships. So the first question we have to start with is what constitutes a healthy intimate relationship? From my experiences as a happily married husband and a licensed marriage and family therapist, that has conducted thousands of hours of couples therapy, I have identified four primary needs in a healthy intimate relationship. I define a healthy intimate relationship as one that enables both partners to feel safe, heard, understood, and cared for by each other.
These needs will serve as the foundation for this course. You will be introduced to eight modules that each consist of four lessons.
