Okay, welcome back in this video, we're going to talk about Okay, welcome back. In this video, I'm going to show you how to get your Pinterest account created. And right here, here we are@pinterest.com As you can see, it's really just an online pin board where people post pictures and then other people can respond. People can follow you, they can look at your pictures, it's kind of like Twitter, except for pictures, okay, instead of just regular posts, so kind of Twitter took away the aspect of Facebook, you know, Twitter kind of has basically just status updates that people can follow. While Pinterest is essentially just images and videos that people can follow. So it's, it's pretty innovative.

Alright, it's but it's kind of just copying another social network. So if you're ever thinking about maybe creating your own social network, I mean, you know, look at what the most popular people have done. It's been stuff like this, okay, it's pretty. It's pretty interesting how something like printers can catch fire, when there's already a face book in a Twitter. Okay, so something just to keep in mind for the future kind of arbitrary. Just wanted to mention it.

But here you can see, you can select your language. And you can learn more about interest here and you can read their terms of service, which are going to be very important when you're trying to mark it on Pinterest, make sure you go and read all those. Just click here and gives you a whole sharing your content, Pinterest content using Pinterest, okay, they have their own rules and regulations like any other network. So to protect your account from ever getting banned or anything like that, just make sure you check it out. And then here, you can see at the top, you can search by category, okay, so you can come down and choose food or drink gardening products. You can check out videos, you can look at the popular pins, and they also have gifts.

So the one thing that's different about Pinterest than any other social network that I've seen, is that you have to request an invite Pinterest, okay, somebody has to invite you. That's already in Pinterest. So all you do is come here, click Request an invite. Okay. And then you'll just put your email in here and then just click Request invitation. Okay?

So if once you do this, it can take a couple days, you'll get an invitation. But you know, most people have a friend or somebody on Facebook or somebody that you know, that's in Pinterest, just have them send you an invitation. That's what I did. I just a buddy of mine is really into this kind of stuff, sent me an invitation. And all of a sudden, you know, I'm accepted, and it's not really that big of a deal. You can just go on Facebook, and, you know, just put a message up on your wall says, Hey, is anybody on Pinterest send me an invite, and it'll happen.

So either way, you can request an invitation here from the homepage, or you can just, you know, just ask one of your friends to invite you. Pretty simple. Okay, so On the next video, I'm going to go over some Pinterest definitions with you and talk about some of the Pinterest lingo so you can kind of navigate yourself around the site. Alright, and we'll see you in the next video.
