Are you Vedic rituals embrace the individual as a whole seeking to balance the mind body and the soul as the key to true healing and happiness. by aligning our energies and living consciously under ru Vedic principles, we can begin to address those chronic health problems and step into a calmer, more nourishing world. In this video, you're going to learn about six ancient ru Vedic health care rituals that you can start doing today and to get your health back on track by tomorrow. So in this video, we're going to just cover we're going to do a quick overview of all of the rituals and you can find full details of how to do each ritual and their benefits in our PDF section. The first ritual is drinking warm water with lemon and it is as easy as it sounds. So all you have to do is squeeze one teaspoon of fresh lemon into an eight ounce glass of warm water.

Just make sure that the water is not hot or cold as both of those temperatures can be a surprise to the system, therefore they will not flush out or toxins and the same way as a warm drink well. Next is clean your face and rinse your eyes and I'm sure some of you already do this. To practice this ritual, keep your eyes open while rinsing your face with warm water. Blink your eyes gently to allow some of the water to then rinse your eyes. Oil Pulling take about one tablespoon of oil, coconut or sesame and swish it around in your mouth for 15 to 20 minutes. Make sure not to swallow it.

You want to spit it out in the garbage and then also rinse your mouth with warm water afterward. If one tablespoon of oil is too much, please take less I know that can be a lot to start with. Same with the amount of time 15 to 20 minutes can be a long time. So if you want to start for two to five minutes, that is great. If you're in general asking how in the world do I hold something in my mouth that long, most people take it right away in the morning and then they go about their other things. So maybe you take a scoop of oil and then you go, take your shower or walk your dog.

And then one more tip I'm going to leave you with here is coconut oil does taste better than sesame, but both are great. The next ritual is tongue scraping. And this ritual we want it to be the first thing we do when we wake up in the morning and we want to do it on an empty stomach. So you're going to scrape your tongue from the back to the front as many times as needed until your tongue feels clean. And then you want to rinse your scraper after each scrape and also make sure to wash it after You're done each morning. Again, you'll learn about the full benefits of this ritual and our PDF.

Next ritual is dry brushing. Using a natural fiber brush. Start by brushing the bottoms of your feet and work your way up the body. You want to take long strokes up towards your heart and circular around your joints. Press as hard as you can or as hard as as, as hard as is comfortable self massage using warm sesame oil or medicated oil for your dosha you're going to massage your entire body. And for self massage, you want to actually begin at the crown of your head and then work your way towards your feet.

And just like dry brushing, you're going to do upward strokes towards your heart. And then you want to move circular around your joints. I also have listed here some seeds In all rituals, so seasonal cleansing with Qatari, which is great for a digestive reset. And this will also be listed in your PDF section. You can always adjust your diet for eating for the season and adjust your activities. So moving with the season this is a big part of ru VEDA, because as we talked about earlier, like events stress, the seasons, the weather can all affect our dosha because our environment holds the different qualities that are associated with each element.

So for example, when we move into the winter season, we tend to see more water and more earth so it's heavy, wet and damp. So we are all more prone to copper imbalances. In this case, we want to bring in the opposite elements. So that might mean we're going to start eating lighter foods that are warmer in nature to balance out the whole cold and heavy qualities of coffee.
