Fear of public speaking, or gloss of phobia is thought to be a type of social anxiety. And specifically it is the fear of humiliation. So if you are afraid of speaking, that's a very natural feeling, actually. And we think that it goes right back to our cave dwelling days. Because if you think about it, if you were humiliated, you ran the risk of being rejected by your tribe. And that would mean if you were cast out, this really was a matter of life and death to you.

You probably couldn't survive on your own without the group. And so a fear of humiliation is very strong enough still to this day. So don't be surprised when your body starts to do very strange things is shaking and your nervous and your throat is dry because of your body, doing public speaking and feeling like That is a risk of humiliation feels like life or death. So how can we tackle this nervousness? Well, that's what I'll get on to next. So you can decide whether you want to start with part one, looking at the level of the mind, or Part Two working on a body.
