We are on module 10 environmental factors, the environment you work in affects your creativity. Fortunately, there are steps you can take to control of your environment and develop creativity, making your work area inspiring. Go to locations that increase creativity and take care of yourself to increase your creative mindset. So here's our quote from Billy Sherwood. I found that when I built my own place and just shut the door, creativity was endless. So his environment by him creating an environment of peace, right, an environment of, of creativity, and environment that was based on him an emotional environment, he was able to, to do that.

And that's what we're going to talk about how certain things how certain environmental elements affect our creativity. So our work area, believe it or not, so when we have a work area Although we may not have the ability to create this inspiring or aspiring work area, we can bring in certain things that will actually appeal to our senses, right? appeal to our, you know, our emotional thoughts, right? So you add in small touches to your work area, whether it's pictures, whatever it may be, to inspire you. That's what you want to do, that's going to allow you to create new ideas. So with that your work earring needs to be a reflection of you.

It needs to be able to be tied into your emotional, you know, your way of how you see life, you know, so maybe it's pictures of parents or wherever that that you love, that you can see yourself either visited or you're going to maybe it's pictures of family, whatever it is that will actually allow you to be relaxed and comfortable and allow you to explore That's how you want your work area to be. Because I know we cannot allow us don't have the ability to change our work area. But if you can bring in small touches to add to your inspiring your creative process, that's exactly what you want to do. The next is, like I said, your emotional items, things that's going to connect you that's going to connect you and put you in a frame of mind to where you feel good about yourself.

And you feel good about your environment and you feel good with creating new ideal see how this works, creativity, work area, all of these play a part in you building and imagining and visualizing for creativity. Now, there are additional environments as well, right. So whether it's your workspace or whether it's your home space, but there are also other places where you can go that will help your create creative process, right? So find the atmosphere that you find inspiring. Maybe it's the local Starbucks, maybe it's the local park or the local art museum, wherever that place is. Go for it, find it, make it your so then everything around you is one of tranquillity.

So, once you find these additional environments, it's going to help spark that creative process is going to help you give you new ideas and new thoughts and, and new ways to see things and maybe even bring a book that's gonna help you put you in your spot, put you in a space to help you create new time and space. Make sense? And then like I said, coffee stop shop, whether it's Starbucks wherever it could be maybe it's Dunkin Donuts, whatever local cafe that's around there that you just love going to and it makes you feel a certain kind of way, then definitely use That as you're aspiring and inspiring plates, so soak up some inspiration wherever you are that you find that yours and make it your own. So we are an additional environments activity. And this is make a list of places that you find inspiring.

What are those places? Like I said, maybe it's the beach. Maybe it's the Art Museum, maybe it's the mountains. Maybe it's the desert, wherever that place is. Tell me about it. Right?

Explain what emotion these places inspire you. I would love to hear your stories. What inspires you? I live in rural, I live in the country. So what inspires me is seeing horses, listening to the birds, right? So wherever you are, wherever you're aspiring, aspiring right and inspiring places.

Please share with me via email or Google Hangouts. So here's one very important getting enough sleep. Now, a lot of us don't get enough sleep, right? There's always going back and forth of, you know how many hours of sleep you should need. I say eight hours from to say seven hours, whatever the amount of sleep, which makes you rest and actually go into that REM state, that's what you need. Okay?

Because what happens if you're not getting enough sleep, you're not allowing yourself to dream. When you don't allow yourself to dream or you don't when you're not able to dream, then you're not able to be ready and in the great state for creativity on that next day. So if certain things are keeping you awake, you may want to eliminate those right or do them early like whether it's nicotine or or drinking coffee, caffeine or maybe having an occasional alcoholic drink, whatever those Things are because they can keep you from getting into that dream state, you want to probably move them up a couple of hours, you know. So that way you can get the sleep you need. And when doing that there are certain things you can do, and you want to map this out, stick to a schedule. So create a schedule and stick to it.

So if you go to bed at an early hour, that's going to allow you the ability to get into that room sleep in order for you to be creative The next day, right? So create a routine before bed to mentally prepare. So these are the different steps that you can take to make sure that you get enough sleep. And then finally, dreaming is very important to the creative process. Because if you can't dream, you can't visualize and you can't imagine and you can't create. So we are on our sleep activity.

Draft a bedtime ritual to help you mentally prepare for sleep well What would you do? How would you do it? And definitely share with me, like always say, through email or Google Hangouts, so I can know what would you do. So once again, draft a bedtime ritual to help you mentally prepare for sleep. So, here is something that you might not realize, but certain variables can also lead to creativity. How about that?

Who knew? Right? such as light, right? Is it dark? Is it kind of morbid? Is it Does that help?

You know, does it bring a draft filling? So light actually has an effect on fact on how creative you're going to be, believe it or not, or the color right? What is your color scheme? Is it a color? Yes, dreary or drab? Right.

I love green. So my color scheme is green because it gives me that calm sense. And in that calm sense, I can create So What colors do you have? That will? That's either hindering? Or promoting your creativity and Ukrainian ideals?

And then what is the smell? What is the smell around? Is it the smell of flowers? What is it? Is it the smell of incense? Is it?

Is it what at what aroma that helps you in a creative process? And do you think you have it, right? Because all of these contribute and the sound, what sounds around there that's either stressing you out or making you feel so comfortable. Whether you know, whatever those sounds may be maybe it's the bird sounds that you just love the chirping of the birds, right? Or maybe there's so much traffic because you're buying the highway or that it's just like, oh, my goodness is too much, right? That's where you find additional environments that you can go to to help you if it's not in your ideal Setting right?

And next music. What music? Are you listening to? To inspire? Is it classical? Right?

Is it Native American, whatever it may be, right? To help you soothing? Is it jazz? Right? big bands, right? Is it blues, whatever it is, right?

Maybe it's Moroccan music, whatever it is. Make it your environment, music that inspires you to be able to create and to see new ideals, right? All the way down to the detail. That's where that visualization come in, all the way down to the detail of what you can see. Right? And then finally, people, what people are around you, and are the people that's helping contribute to ideas, or are they people that's really not helpful.

At all. So once you start to understand how these affect you, then maybe it will allow you to start thinking from a self reflection perspective and go, Hmm, what can I change or Huh, great environment. I never realized it right. So here is the case study. So Brian is known as a creative problem solver. But he has not been able to focus while later, right.

Why? Because Brian's not sleeping, and he's so used to creating new ideas and strategies for his company. But if he can't sleep, he can't be creative, right? So he has not been able to focus well lately. And he keeps hitting a wall trying to choose the direction in which to take the company. So his mentor tells him to sleep on a decision.

And when he did that, and he actually slept. His creativity was There, he was able to generate new ideas on how he wanted to company the direction he wanted to company to go to. So this is Brian's, what would be your case study? If you thought of something if you thought of an idea, a thought of a time where this probably happened for you and never associated the sleep with it. Now, you know, so definitely share with me, and let me know how this case study determined to pertain to you in your own situation. So we are actually done with module 10.

And here's a recap. So your work area should be a reflection of you. Your workspace is not the only space that can increase your creativity. And getting enough sleep is common sense. But you may not know that sleep is important component in creative process. Exactly.

Why because if you can't introduce That brimstone, that ram state of daydreaming and dreaming, then you're not able to create or develop your creative process the next day, right? or generate new ideals. And when examining your environmental factors, remember that there are many different variables to consider. Like we mentioned light, right? Sound, music, color, all of those things play a part. All of these things play a part in your creative process.

And finally, our quote, I found that when I built my own place and just shut the door, creativity was endless. And that's by Billy Sherwood. So, we're done with module 10. And I will see you on the next module. Have a good day.
