So, individual brainstorming can be effective in your personal or business life. Following the tips in this module will help improve brainstorming and divergent thinking to increase your creativity. Know generating ideas. brainstorming does not require self editing, okay?

The point is to generate as many ideas as possible. So when you're writing those ideas down, the last thing you want to do is say, Oh, I need to go back. No, it's all about getting your ideals down. Remember, it's about quantity, not Quality. So the point is to generate as many ideas as possible. And when you place the focus on the number of ideals, rather than whether they are good or not, your mind will make connections that it normally would not when you do not place restrictions on it.

So it's getting past the restrictions. I know people are like, what isn't it about quantity, not when it comes to generating ideas, because you want to keep your thought process moving. So as ideals are coming, you want to keep moving, and you don't want to self sabotage your stuff. Because now you're writing like, Oh, I shouldn't. Now you're stopping that process from going now you're stopping those ideals from moving, flourishing, right, like water, right? So you should write down every thought that comes to you.

Before you brainstorm, you want to choose a place and limited distractions, so focused on the problem that you need to address and begin writing. This technique may be familiar from free writing. exercises in writing class. So when you write as many ideas as possible, without changing anything that you write now, here's our brainstorming activity. Think of something that you need to address and brainstorm ideas using your free writing. Now remember, is just getting your thoughts on paper.

You're not worried about editing, you're not worried about the, the quality, you're worried about the quantity. So write as many ideals as you can. So mind mapping can be done after ideals have been generated. So once you have generated your ideals, now you want to move on to mind mapping and which is also known as concept mapping.

Spider mapping, the technique is used to organize information in ideals in a way that they relate to each other, that connection, okay, you may write your own map or you software to help you map your ideas. So begin by identifying the main ideas or concepts and then arrange them. Next, you want to connect the other ideas to the main concepts that they relate to using lines and linking words or descriptions, the map will continue to grow. And it does not have to end you just keep writing, you just keep making connections, it is possible that you will think of new ideas as you create the map, you want to still feel free to include them. So it's not like okay, I already have this many ideas. Do I need more, right?

If more come to you, you keep writing, keep writing them down, and you start doing a mind mapping. That is the point. That's the process. So visualization is the next step after mind mapping, so, you do your brainstorming, you do your mind mapping, and then you do your visualization. Now, visualization is a useful technique in different areas of life. And every time we go through a module I talk about visualization, because it is so important for you to be able to mentally picture down to the detail and it works in every every facet of life.

So, in the brainstorming sessions, visualization requires envisioning ideals that are brainstorm, you must visualize the different solutions to determine which ones will work best. So as you're seeing everything in your mind mapping you making connections, now you want to see which ones are going to work best. And the steps are you choose an ideal or solution. So visualize needs to be specific. Okay. And then you want to relax You want to find a time and place to relax and focus on visualization techniques.

Then you want to visualize, picture the future in detail and visualize it happening in the present down to the last detail. And after visualizing an ideal, you should have a better ideal about the effectiveness and suitability, you will be able to cross some ideals off your list and after you visualize them, so remember, you got your brainstorming, then you got your mind mapping, and then you have your visualization. And then, so this is the fourth, you organize and bring your ideas together. And once you bring them together, this is usually the best step away from the brainstorming before organizing your ideal. So take the ideas from the concept map. That's the vibe, the visualization process, and then consider the best way to organize them.

Consider how they're connected. And if any of them can be combined into new ideals, then you want to create a list of ideals to help guide you in the future. It is important that you do not limit yourself to these ideals ideals will constantly come. It's okay embrace them accept them, you should add them regularly. And then, of course, you can combine ideals, right? So here is our case study.

Window, hated brainstorming. The process made him nervous, and he never developed many ideas. In fact, most of the ideas he came up with were repeats of earlier ideas.
