We are now on module six, improving your creative mindset. So the ability to think creatively and change your mindset requires you to make discoveries and associations, it is necessary to question be self aware and develop confidence in order to increase your creative thought. Now, here's our quote, creativity is the solid, the true scholar by Monday as a county, right? So on to improving your creative mindset. Because when you're thinking creatively, you're able to make new discoveries, right? So making associations.

Now normally, when we have a task, or we're dealing with less or any things of that matter, we tend to not have them connected, right because we think of them as different concepts. Well, the whole purpose of dealing with brain storming is taking concepts that you don't see are connected and actually trying to make associations with them. That's one of the parts of brainstorm. So this may seem like an a bizarre technique, but it actually helps in sparking that critical thinking in a way, because it allows you to think outside of your box. It allows you to look at different items like apples and oranges, and actually trying to find ways that they are associated. And that's what we have to do when it comes to brainstorming.

That's just one of the techniques that can be utilized. So you want to make natural, natural to make associations. We make Association on so many things when it comes down to patience or interest or hobbies, right, was taking the things that does not seem like they're connected at all and actually make an association from them. And tying unrelated topics together. And also, you want to build creativity with time. So as you do this as you start utilizing this technique, and then it could be on anything, right?

Taking them taking these different concepts and actually applying them together and see how they relate. That's actually create the whole new way of thinking as far as changing your thought process and relating new things, right. So this is just a couple of things that we can utilize when it comes to brainstorming in order to help you with the creativity process. Now keeping a journal you want to choose the right time, right? So here's the wonderful thing about a journal. journals are pretty much personal, right?

And they become personal because there are thoughts. The wonderful thing about journaling Because they're your own thoughts. And because it's your journal, there's no right or wrong. There's no room for worrying about editing or having someone critique. This is your journal process. And this is your journal story.

So whether you're choosing a traditional way of journaling, right, which could be your own pencil and paper, right, or book, right, or whether it's on your computer, or even if it's on your mobile app, you have the ability to journal to write your thoughts down as you're going through this journey. And that's what's so wonderful about this, because you don't have to worry about a teacher reading it, because these are your own thoughts to help you through your creative process. And another thing you want to choose the right time, which will be the right time. So as you're going through keeping a journal, I want you to think about these things. I want you to choose the right time, which will be the best time for you to write Would it be in the morning? You know, are you a morning person, right, early morning person?

Or would it be late at night before you go to sleep right? Or would it be middle of the day where you are able to go out and you know, maybe go to the park during the lunch break or, or just getting away from wherever you are, whatever. And whenever that time would be, choose it for you, not according to anyone else, but according to what would be the perfect time for you. And another thing, choose the spot just like I mentioned, for those of you who may be by a beach or someone by the mountains, right or, or by lakes, or maybe it's an art museum, you choose a spot for you or the park, right. Choose a spot for you that makes it comfortable and relaxing. allow you to get in tune with yourself and just observe your surroundings.

That actually helps because it puts you in thought process or frame of mind where you can be comfortable. And you can just watch, watch around you and just relax, right? Maybe it's being with the birds or the seagulls or whatever it is, choose your spot. And then finally, be comfortable, be comfortable. in whichever spot you choose, make it relaxing, make it comfortable for you to where you're able to enjoy your process. And here is our journal activity.

Our journal activity for this one is answer the following questions just pretty much what we just covered to help begin the journaling process. Right. So which method of journaling would you prefer? What would you like to do? And remember, as you're going through these activities, reach out to me to let me know your thoughts. Okay.

And where is a good place to journal share with me your thoughts on this. And then finally, what time of days best for you to make your journal entries. So as you start writing in and you start coming up with this, you know your information for this activity share with me, I would love to know where you are and, and how your environment will be conducive to you and also and for you and make sure to please complete these activities prior to moving on to the next module. And here's question assumptions. Now, what is an assumption? Now we are coming to this environment with our own assumptions, and not about right or wrong, right.

But these assumptions are those that cannot be proven. But what tends to happen is when we have assumptions, we begin to place them on other people, right? Almost like judgments in a way. So we begin to assume Everything based on our thought process and maybe in assuming, maybe we could be right or maybe we could be wrong. And especially with everything in the universe on here, and everything tends to be about assumption when it comes to social media, that we begin to assume things that not necessarily may be correct, right? Or maybe they are.

But what tends to happen is when we start assuming we start placing these these, once again, these restrictions on us, because then when we assume we're not able to think objectively, and with this being a world full of amazing people from so many cultures and so, so many demographics, right? We tend to place our assumptions on others without understanding where others are coming from, right. So our point is to Once you start making all these assumptions, right, or just trying to maybe not be so conformed to them, right, then that allow us to think outside of ourselves. It allows us to put down these assumptions sometimes and look at from things from different points of view. So here's the thing, all of your assumptions that you may hold on to so tight, well, if they're not true, right? What if something that you have been assuming for years or however long, aren't true, but it's something that you've held on to for such a long time.

So sometimes we have to question out in order to bridge our mind right to expand our mind to different ways of thinking. Right. And believe it or not, when you So, so much because of these assumptions, it can actually affect your decision making, because you're believing this only one way and your way because of your assumptions. So once we start to step outside of our assumptions, we begin to question and we begin to help our creative process, because now we're open to new ideas. All right? And then, so we are actually on our question activity, which is our assumption activity, and pretty much just what we cover, what is the assumption?

So think about what assumption that you have right now, if you could analyze yourself, right and self reflection? What assumption Have you been holding on to and think about, well, you know what, maybe I need to really look more into that. Whether it's right or wrong. Tell me about it. Right. I would love to hear and what if it's not true?

What are your thoughts on that? And affect my decision making Do you think it would affect your decision making? You know, so these are the things that I would love to hear from you, and seeing how these activities, you're making a personal for you, right? So here is creative confidence. With creative confidence. Remember, we talked about those small business achievements, you got to also look at focus on your creative confidence that talks about focus on your achievements.

Because when you start being confident in your chest yourself, then you start focusing on your achievements right, and achievements leads back to confidence. See how that circle plays, right? Because it's necessary in order for you to help yourself through your process. If you're not confident and confident about things, then you're not going to be confident in tackling new ideas right. And new ideas are important towards your creativity and new ideas help you visualize and help you imagine. But if you don't have the confidence, it won't help you in such a way, right?

So focus on your achievements. Next thing, play with your strength. Maybe you're good at singing, right? Or maybe you're good writer, or maybe you're a great writer, and maybe you're great at public speaking, whatever those strengths are, focus on them, because they're going to help you move to the next part, right? They're going to help you build confidence in yourself. So you can believe that you're capable of achieving things right.

So focus on your strengths, because those strengths will help you in achieving goals, because that's what you're going to help build yourself up and you have to build yourself up in order to have your confidence. Now, staying positive, if there are individuals around you, that's not positive You may want to just not disassociate them completely, but find a way to either help them become positive. Or you may want to keep working on your positive ability. And when you're strong enough to be in an environment, because staying positive is going to help build your positive energy. So you want to surround yourself with positive people, as they say, birds of a feather flock together. So remember that.

And another thing when creating confidence in yourself, remember that there's a difference between arrogance and confidence, right? We don't want to go to the extreme because when you're overly confident it may turn into arrogance. And what happens when with arrogant people. They believe that everyone is beneath them, and we don't want that. So there's a fine balance between arrogance and confidence that when you have to be able to maneuver, right? Because if you don't have enough confidence, then self doubt will step in.

And that's when our self imposed limitation step in, and you don't believe you're capable, right? So we want to have that balance, where we will be able to succeed, right? And create what speaks to you. So as you start building more of your confidence, and you're starting on your create Prop, you know, Pat, do things that speak to you and your interest and what feels good to you. Right? As long as it's constructive, not according to someone else.

But your creative confidence is your confidence in yourself, and your ability to spark your creativity for something that speaks to you. Now, here's our case study. Jenny. I tried journaling but gave up after a few weeks. She decided to give it one last try and download an app to help Because what happened was Jenny had let someone use her read her journal. And because sometimes not everyone may have the best interest or even if they do, sometimes what could be constructive criticism could come off as destructive criticism, right?

So, in Jenny's case, she did let someone read her journal. And in the case they start editing and critiquing. So Jenny kinda got away from it because she took it personal, right? But our goal is, and my thing is, like, you know, my purpose is to let you know that your journal is your journal. It's not for anyone to critique is not for anyone to disagree. It's your place in your space in your time.

So as I say, she decided to give her one last try because she realized maybe I need to journal because maybe that will spark my creative side right and which is necessary for Her job. So her new self awareness helped her improve her creativity, because she started journaling again. And she didn't let that one person stop her maybe for a minute. But then once she started realizing that I have to do this for myself, it's not for anyone else. Then she started her self words process, and which is important, and her company will use in some of her creative ideals to do just that. Because once she started journaling, that's exactly what happened.

It allowed her creativity to be sparked, and help create new ideas. So although this is talking about Jenny, definitely reach out to me. When was there a time that you all always you had thought about journaling? Or if you did journal, let me know about it. I would love to know. And if you can imagine a time where you were at a point where you didn't know what to do.

And now that you know me journal and help share that with me as well. So we are on module six, Chapter synopsis. recap, we're done. Right. So here is the recap. keeping a journal allows you to develop creativity and track your progress.

We all make assumptions, which are concepts that we believe without proof. Confidence is the key to success in any activity. You have to have confidence. You have to have that self confidence. And you got to make sure that we get away from assumptions because although we believe that they may be true, they may not right. So once you start slowly picking away at their assumptions and allows you to see from a different perspective.

And here's our quote, creativity is the soul of true scholar buying the Monday as a carry We are done. So I will see you on the next module and have a good day.
