This hatha yoga course is primarily for yoga teachers, who are looking to refresh their own yoga sadhana, learn some new practices, kriyas, and Prakriyas along with learning new ideas, concepts, and ways of teaching Hatha to students at various levels.
Hatha is a Sanaskirta word, that comes from two roots:- ‘HA’ means sun and ‘Tha’ means moon. Hatha describes the two energies of right and left, sun and moon, the Ida and Pingala, prana and Apana, Loma and villoma, male and female, shiva and shakti, etc. Hatha also means vigorous or forceful. Hatha Yoga uses our body, breath, and mind as a tool to enhance the subtle energy currents known as Pancha-Prana-Vayus and gradually balance and unite the two opposite energies of Ha and Tha or Sun and Moon to attain the health, well-being, balance, enhanced vital energies or Tejas, and prepare our body, mind, and energies for further advance yoga practices.
