Hello, everybody, and thank you for joining me. I know your time is valuable. So my promise to you is to share information that is practical that you can start implementing almost immediately. I've spent the past 25 years in the corporate world and sat through many, many meetings that should have been emailed. So I want to be respectful of your time and make sure that my class delivers on the promise. Otherwise, I could just upload an email or blog post and share that with you.

If you want to learn more about the fundamentals behind ecommerce, you are in the right place. If you are taking this class to deepen your knowledge about e commerce, you are ambitious. If someone referred you to this class, they think that you're ambitious. Either way. I'm gonna do my best to share information with you that you can use running a successful e commerce store. My name is Eugene grow and I'm delighted to have you with me for this journey through the wonderful world of e commerce.

I'm an e commerce entrepreneur and digital nomad, meaning that I can work wherever I have access to the internet. Now you've detected my dorky accent. And even though I currently reside in New Orleans, Louisiana, I'm originally from a country a little bit further south in South Africa to be precise. However, I've spent the majority of my career in the US working for large corporations running the e commerce businesses, including managing several e commerce web stores for Berkshire Hathaway. For the past five years, I've been making my living as an e commerce entrepreneur, a business advisor, an entrepreneur in residence, a lead mentor and a marketing coach. I have a diverse business background.

However, my two years expertise and my true passion lies with e commerce. And not just as a hobby, but it's a business. And I know how to make the cash register. I practice what I preach, and I eat what I kill. Many of the examples that I will share with you are from the simple ecommerce stores that I personally own and operate. Before we dive into the nitty gritty, let's set a few expectations.

I will not be teaching you how to build an e commerce store. Nor will I recommend an e commerce platform. There are several courses available teaching you exactly that. We will cover things like the pros and cons of hosted versus SAS based platforms so you can choose the best solution for your business if you haven't already done so. This is also not a get rich, quick ecommerce class. There are programs out there that will guarantee you to make $5,000 a week drop shipping iPhone cases and sunglasses Through aliexpress.

This is not that. However, if you do run a dropship store, this class will help. Several of my web stores use drop shipping. We will cover the basics of proper planning and how to run a successful e commerce website. We'll start with the Lean Startup methodologies, and I'll share a project with you that will help you to create a business plan for your online business in 30 minutes or less. We'll talk about the zero moment of truth and the stages of the buying cycle as it influences the modern consumers buying decisions.

We'll discuss the multi touchpoint marketing approach covering topics like business development, branding, demand generation and customer engagement. Next we'll look at the 12 business functions any e commerce store owner needs to be familiar with in order to run a successful website. These include a business plan realistic budget, choosing the right ecommerce platform, web design, search engine optimization and search engine marketing, merchandising, distribution, omni channel marketing and of course another thing. We'll also cover a few advanced topics like behavioral targeting, and customer lifecycle management. In this class, we'll cover acquisition, retention, segmentation and reactivation strategy. I will cover how to attract more traffic to your website, how to convert that traffic into leads, then convert the leads into paying customers and the methods to retain those customers.

And of course, we will measure and analyze each step of the way for continuous improvement. Why am I sharing my secret sauce your ask? Good question. No, I haven't made so much money that I feel it's my duty to give back. And I'm not doing this. Just for love.

And charity, fame or fortune. I'm a business strategy consultant and an entrepreneur. I'm always looking for networking opportunities. So please connect with me on LinkedIn. I would also like to remind you that if you are serious about e commerce, and you think that I can help you, and if you can, of course, tolerate my accent. Please be sure to follow my profile.

I will be launching new deep dives and advanced ecommerce classes frequently. And please remember to write reviews about my gosh. All send me private messages with comments, questions, feedback. I'm always open to suggestions and I'm eager to improve but sorry, the accent states. So let's get started and make the cash register ring
