So let's get started with thinking about fun and having fun every day now, you know, you think, well, should I even need to define what fun is? But, you know, some people look back and they may think, well I haven't had fun in ages. You know, I've just been doing my day to day thing and you know, fun is just I just don't have any time for fun. But what I like to have you think about his, how would you define something that would be a fun zone for you something where when you get into that place, you know that this is something that you really enjoy to do to do. And remember, everybody's different, not everybody thinks of fun the same way. Some people find a huge challenge that a lot of work as total fun other people like a day at the beach.
I've used a lot of beat images in this course because I believe, you know, fun should be something like a day at the beach where you see that horizon and you have the sunshine and anything's possible. And if you're somebody who surfs, then for you, maybe just catching that wave every day is fun. And so how could you then maximize that time by doing it as often as possible? Whatever you find fun, and I'll just use the idea of surfing or just being at the beach. What could I do that would maximize my amount of time, I'm in that fun zone. may have noticed by now that I use a lot of beach images in this course.
One of the things that struck me when I was in Newport Beach in California, was they have a area there called the fun zone. And it's where all the rides are in the pier and so on, and it's a it's a place where people go to have fun and I've always used that metaphor for myself. When I'm happy, and having fun is I'm in the, quote, fun zone. And that's really what I think everybody should think about for their own personal satisfaction is to define and to stay as much as you can in your own personal fun zone. So this is the, the theory behind having fun and defining your fun zone. We're going to use this when we start to fill out the template.
So when you think about what motivates you, what if it's for fun? When we get to the template, defining your fun zone is going to be one of the things that you're going to be doing for your on your own. It's going to be an interesting exercise for you, I'm sure because as I said before, at the beginning, you know, people don't think every day that you know, I'm having fun, but everyone's different. And if you really are honest to yourself, you will figure out that Yeah, I could I could get into that zone, if I give it a try.
