So now we're going to be discovering more about selection tools. And before we start guys, I would like to remind you to practice along with me. So you can find that image in your resources in your selection and masking folder. You will find that my spark in here and also it can be opening that image going back to our image. So let's say we need to select that current corporate, and here we can go to Select. Before even trying with any of the selection tools, we can be selecting that nice ocean here, subject, and that option will be using Adobe sensei intelligent feature to select the most important elements within your image.

It's not always 100% correct, but it's nice sometimes. So for that examine can be pressing subject and we'll see how it goes. So pressing subject. So in that example, we have almost 95% accurate selection Except maybe for that port in here, which we can subtract from our selection. So let's zoom in. And now we can start using more selection tools to modify our selection.

And that's how it always goes with selection. You don't really rely on one tool, or one selection method. So let's go for instance, and select that quick selection tool, or w for shortcuts. And that selection tool is mainly approached so you can be reducing its size using left square bracket or increase size just like that. And then hover over the port reducing or personalize pressing Alt or Option key to remove the ports. And it's enhancing our selection instantly like that.

And same maybe for the port in here. It's by default on adding to our selection. So let's try to add support. See how it goes. goes. You need to be gentle and careful while you're adding or removing using the tool.

So let's maybe press ALT again or option to remove the fourth. He would like to really enhance your selection and maybe add support as well as reducing prophesies. Reduce it once again. Maybe remove from here pressing Alt or Option key. And let's also remove from here, increasing precise, pressing alter option key to remove. We can add the port once again by clicking inside.

Now maybe you have some jagad boards within our selection, and we need to modify and close our selection. So we can go to Select, we have modify option in here where we can be selecting azmuth. Maybe applying that to five pixels can see how it's going to look like. We can undo that so you can see the difference and redo. We have smoother edges in here. And let's zoom out a bit so you can see the entire part.

And let's go back to select and discover more about that default option we can be modifying borders, so instead we can be adding width. So we can be creating a border selection instead of whole parts. So if we press OK, we have 50 pixels. So now we have a border of selection around the part. Or let me undo that's going back to select Modify with we can be either expanding our selection or constructing that one Can fiver our selection as well, we already talked about feathers. So let's see how we can be expanding our selection.

So let's maybe expand that one boy also 50 pixels so you can see how it's gonna look like. And that's how it's gonna look like. So let me undo that and show you guys how you can be creating an effect out of that person, Command Z. And let's maybe select any of our selection tools, maybe tangler Marquee Tool, right clicking on their copy, and pressing Command or Ctrl to reselect our parent once again, creating a new layer on top our background layer. So I'm going to select that one, creating a new layer. We have by default black and white for our foreground and background color.

If you don't have that one like that, you can be pressing D to get them to default. And now I'm going to be expanding that selection once again by going to select Modify, expand and going for 50 pixels as well, and filling that selection as whites. So now we have that nice white stroke around our elements zooming out so you can see how it looks like. And also can be creating a new layer or background layer. Maybe selecting another color is a black hole, maybe for that noise, blue pressing key and let's fill that newly created layer. Color hover let's rename that layer in here.

New background color and removing our selection resync model Ctrl G, and filling was foreground color pressing ALT option key and backspace. So instantly guys, we have the nice design, just few clicks. And let's also Why's discover one more selection tool. So I'm going to be selecting our parrot once again, and selecting the lasso tool in here. It's a free form selection tool, you can be freely drawing using your mouse, or if you have a pen tablet, that will be even better. So let's go for instance, and start drawing.

Maybe the board here, and I like that when I was at school, I was going to be modifying that selection, missing all let's remove that part from our selection. And now let's duplicate the port maybe right clicking and layer copy. So we have that being duplicated in a new layer. We can be selecting or move tool or pressing v on keyboard and moving that port away. Just like that. Maybe you can be rotating that one as well.

If we would like To play with our design, maybe adding a stroke or so we can send it to back by rearranging or layers. Maybe something like that, the cursing birds, we can be also expanding a selection around the plane to match that white stroke around our shape. So let's quickly do that by selecting on their precinct model control clicking on the thumbnail angle to Select, Modify, expand, we can be also adding a stroke around our layer. However, I'm showing you guys how to expand the selection or modify a selection. Creating also a new layer below that one filling that one was white pressing or Ctrl Backspace to fill it with background color precinct model Ctrl, d to the select our selection, maybe we need to be moving all these layers together a little bit too, right. So I'm going to be selecting that layer, scrolling down looking for more layers, pressing Shift to select all these layers in between.

So we have all those layers selected, we can be moving them together, maybe we should have done that before we add our fill color. So let me quickly redo that once again, selecting only that layer, mount, modify, expand and selecting the wing layer. Maybe I should rename those layers for a better organized file and fitting that one once again, to enhance that wing tip and removing selection recent model Ctrl D. And now we have a very nice design. So let's also zoom in discovering more selection tools. Here we have the tool in here, Magic Wand tool. And it's going to be creating a selection based on colors.

So maybe we need to be selecting the orange image once again. And let's say we need to be selecting those blue feathers in here, maybe that one will be clicking in here. So now it's selecting that area because it has a certain range of blue colors. And let me move that one bit here so you can see better and zooming in precinct model control a plus key. And we have selection tolerance for colors. So if we increase the tolerance, it's gonna be selecting morals up low, maybe all the way to 90 which is too much and what is selecting that now it's including more blues as you can see, and even can increase tolerance.

Once again. Maybe selecting supports, we can zoom out to see what is really selected in here, you can see that we have almost all blues along with some reds added to our selection. So maybe let's bring that one down to maybe 130. And let's press Command or Control D, recent lifting. Once again, we can also add to our selection, pressing Shift and clicking on these areas. Now it's including rates.

So let's maybe try to remove that by pressing Alt or Option key and clicking on loose A's. And also if we would like to select the blues from that layer, we can be applying that symbol or layers where it's going to be also selecting from other layers. So if we add the port, maybe pressing Shift and clicking in here, it's going to be also selecting from that other layer. And also let's deselect that once again and disabling that option in here. contiguous, and also disabling some below layers, and maybe selecting the ports. So now we can see that we are also getting a selection within his beak.

So if we select once again and re enable contiguous and selecting in here, that selection will be only limited to that area looking for clues only within the port. So if we have any borders like that green in here, it will not be looking for more clues in any other ports. So that could be useful sometimes and maybe sometimes you're looking for all clues within your image or any color range you can be enabling or disabling that option. Also is one more helpful voice. Let's deselect the basic one. Oh Ctrl D, you would like to have a smoother outline.

You can be adding more smoothness to your selection. So let's maybe reselect that wing once again this monitor control and clicking on the thumbnail to get the selection once again. I'm going to be creating a new layer on top of that one, disabling the wing stroke or outline and creating a new layer. I'm going to be able to find our selection two times. So going to Select, Modify, smooth first, maybe all the way to 20. Okay, and going back to Select, Modify, expand, expanding also by 50 as tools.

Okay. Now I'm going to be filling the clear, was white Mondo Ctrl, Backspace, Monday. So now we have a smoother outline compared to that one. And same as well for that wing. If you'd like to have a smoother edge, you can be modifying your selection before we created or duplicated the clear how we're going to be discovering that later in detail how to modify and refine our ages along with masking, so I'm not going to be covering that one in detail now, and zooming out we have a very nice design. Let's move to another example.
