What's up guys in this video, we're going to be learning how to create cool 3d type effects, even without using 3d effects. So in order to create type or even shapes like that, we're going to be using mixer brush, and we're designing that one maybe for an advertisement for Nike. So we're creating maybe a slogan like glow like noon, we can be disabling that layer, deleting that one, you can be creating a GIF out of these layers for animated ad, or even you can be disabling all these layers and show them within one line to have your slogan standing out like that. So let's hide the clear and see how we can be creating that effect. Now let's create a new layer. And this layer will be drawing a circle using our Ellipse tool.

And we are using a gradient fill in here. So if you have that one on default colors, you can be Selecting gradients. And when it comes to colors, it's totally up to you guys, you can be using default gradients, or you can be loading from presets, or you can be creating your own gradient. So let's maybe start with any of these gradients, then we can be changing that one later, maybe selecting that orange and yellow. Then let's draw a circle, that size pressing Shift to have a perfect circle. Feel won't use that effect on a larger scale.

Maybe you need to be increasing your circle, as it will be affecting your brush size. So now let's even apply a color gradient going to that website in here. It's called gradient. They have some nice cool gradients we can be selecting from any of them. I have chosen that one. So let's copy it's hex code, we have green, and we have hex code where are we pressing Command or Ctrl C, going back to Photoshop selecting gradients in progress has been, then double clicking color.

This thing hits code in that place Command or Control V. Applying that. Now let's go and grab our second color. Selecting the blue highlighting or color Command or Ctrl A Command C or Ctrl C to copy back to Photoshop our gradient, we're going to be selecting that color in here, double clicking that one Command or Ctrl V. Then let's go and copy and paste our final color. Selecting that one command or control a month c back to Photoshop, or gradients. Double clicking that color Command or Ctrl V. Now we have that cool gradient in here we can be adding even more colors by clicking anywhere between those color stops. Maybe you can be adding a color if And then we can be double clicking on changing or color, maybe to any of these colors, we are going for lighter color maybe then we can be pressing OK.

However, I don't really like that. So I'm going to be removing that color by dragging that color down. And now let's go and select our mixer brush. Right clicking brush area you will find mixer Brush Tool. Now we need to be sampling from that circle, so we need to be rasterizing our ellipse, right click rasterize layer. Now we can be sampling from that one, increasing output size.

Just slightly bigger than our original circle and pressing Alt or Option key to sample from the one. Make sure you are using a dry brush to zero with a 100% globe and you can be enabling airbrush style buildup effects and if you're using tablet or drone tablet, maybe you can be setting that one to 50%. And if you're using a mouse to those your mouse, you can be increasing that one even more, maybe up to 80% or something like that. You can keep trying depending on how much you can be controlling mouse. Also make sure that you have that one disabled symbol all layers. And again, if you're using a tablet, you can be selecting that one.

And also make sure you are disabling loads solid colors only. And also that you are using a hard brush. So gonna be increasing hardness, hundred percent. So now we can be creating a new layer to test our brush, creating a new layer and reducing brush size a bit. Now we can be testing that one, and it's looking cool already as you can see, by the way, guys, if we did our circle and sample That one again, our colors will be slightly change it. So let me rotate that one so you can see it in action.

Pressing shift. So now it's flipped, hitting return, scrambling again selecting our brush pressing be increasing prophesies, pressing all now we are assembling, we can be doing similar shape. So let me select our layer and let's also rename that one cool type. Now reducing pore size once again and drawing maybe a similar one to this. Now as you can see why those colors are swapped. So anyway, I like it as it was.

So I'm going to be rotating that one again, and some link for third time. Now let's see what that ellipse we don't need it anymore and also selecting or cool type there and selecting everything with a selection tool, then pressing Delete just to start over pressing Command or Control D. Now you can start typing in a free form way. However, it's not going to be the best way to produce a professional result. So for instance, let's play noon. Selecting our brush again, reducing precise maybe all the way to 60. And starting to type also can be rotating Canvas for better controls pressing or on rotating because we are usually typing in an angle so selecting or frosh once again.

Now it can be duplicating that and once again, pressing escape. Then I'm going to be selecting loose letters, maybe that n or first let's move that all selected. or move toward pressing v. So can get that one closer pressing shift. Now we can be selecting that and once again and allocating that one pressing Shift, adding support to our selection, move to pressing Alt or Option key shift to duplicate the same letter while it's aligned. Now this looking cool, however, is is not the best results that we can get. And also not all of you guys are using drone tablet, I'm using a drone tablet so many I can be typing a bit.

I'm not the best by the way when it comes to that. So let me show you guys a cool trick to do it in a professional way. I'm going to be creating a new layer and disabling that one pressing Command or Ctrl D to deselect. Now instead of displaying our handwriting, we can be mimicking handwritten font. So it can be selecting Type Tool and clicking, then let's increase that form size, maybe all the way to 60 or even 72. Then go to form selector, then selecting from filter, handwritten.

Some of these forms, as you can see are downloaded from Adobe or typekit. So can be applying any of these forms, maybe, something like that. Or instead I've got that one ready in a layer. So let me remove that one. Leading the layer. Here we have blue.

And if I double click in here, we can be checking that one. That's our full name, and it's regular forms, and we have that size set. If you are following along guys, and if you want to apply the same settings, you will find that image in your resources and you can be following the same steps in here. Just before we start using our brush, let's make sure You have the same brush settings as well. So let me go to our brush palette settings. This one and let's create a new layer on top or type so we can use that one as a reference.

Then selecting or mixer brush. Now as you can see we are using around plus hard one and make sure that you have spacing on one or 2% because if you're using a higher value, we'll be looking like that your crush will be looking like that. So let's get back to one or two. Then go to Shape Dynamics. If you're using a Wacom tablet or any drawing tablet, you can be selecting them pressure from here. If you are using a mouse, you don't have to select that one.

And you can be customizing that one for different sizes. So if we increase that one all the way like that, you can see that we have very soft edges like that and if I reduce that one We are having a sharper and smaller diameter. Also, you can set that one to 100% minimum roundness. And now we already start doing so collapsing that one. Now I'm going to be rotating Canvas once again, pressing or, and rotating Congress maybe like that, selecting or press. Now all what we need to do is to start mimicking those lines.

So I'm going to start maybe from here, going like that. You don't have to be precise. It's a preformed form, or handwritten style. And if I start maybe pressing lightly like that, since I'm using a tablet, we're going to be having a thin line. However, if I start pressing harder, we'll getting a thicker line like that. See That's one cool thing about using tablets.

So I'm gonna undo that and starting that line once again. Now we are done can be pressing escape, and we don't need our type layer anymore. Of course, if you'd like to leave that one as another direction, you can keep it that way. However, this not both of our tutorials, so I'm going to be disabling that one. Now we can be uploading a drop shadow effect, double clicking or layer in that area, a blind drop shadow. And let's move that one aside.

So can check out looks like selecting or drop shadow. We can be changing opacity for shade. You want to make it stronger or less. And same for distance to move it away, or spreads, all can be fading that shades Make it dense. Also feel free if you would like to add Outer Glow as an additional effect, hover, you can be reducing obesity for that one just to make it even more glowing. Anyway, I'm going to be disabling that one and pressing OK. Now it's your turn guys if you'd like to apply the same effect and also make sure to experiment with different backgrounds.

So here for instance, I have other backgrounds as well. Scrolling down, you can see some applying elevens layer on the background as it's quite bright. As you can see, maybe this could be nice with us if you're using darker video and curves. And also I'm using a second levels layer for floor. So if we disable that one, we can see the difference. And I'm applying that layer mainly to make our time more readable in support.

And you can easily apply a similar layer by making a selection using your request That selection tool, you can be going all the way like that, then you can be adding your adjustment layer, it will be added with that mask. So let's deselect that one. And let me show you even more backgrounds, hiding that adjustment layer and that layer and you have that layer as well. And also we have a color version in here. So let me get that one back on. And let me show you even other colors for our type.

So scrolling up here we have another assembling circle, which is including another region to sample from. So let me move that one here. You can be using mix of bright orange and dark one and maybe move to get a similar effect like this one. And also you can be applying the same effect on a vector path. So let me disable that one. and selecting maybe that circle selecting our brush increasing brush size, slightly bigger than our circle pressing auto option to sample from that one.

Now we have that one sample, selecting maybe our curvature tool and drawing any curve just to show you guys how it looks like even if you would like to tie was your boss even if you have more controls your bent tool and instead of drawing in freeform you can be using any fuel Ben tools. Then we have our paths and here we can be going to Office barrel, you can be opening that one from window as well accessing that one. Then you can be right clicking selecting stroke both. We can be selecting or mixer brush from tools, mixer brush tool, and we can be selecting also simulate pressure. So we have thinner areas and thicker areas. So I'm going to be selecting That one missing, okay.

Now that's probably too big, we need to be undoing that and selecting or cross reducing or cross sois, maybe all the way to 60. Again, you can be trying different values as well feel free guys. Now selecting or been to right clicking stroke off, and we're using the same settings pressing OK. Now we have a nicer thinner line. So hope you enjoyed that one guys and I'll be seeing you next story.
