In this video we'll be learning how to control our line type or our headings using character control panel. And you can be accessing that one by going to Window character where you can be selecting your font or font style as well. Or you can be changing your font size from here or sliding that slider or changing font size, or even transforming your type you can be pressing Command or Control T, then transforming your form size. Or you can be increasing kerning or spaces between letters or characters. So if I click in here, and go to that option in here for increasing kerning we can be selecting maybe 25 for Adding a bit of depth in here, or even 200 instead of hitting the space bottom, you can be increasing kerning more precisely using that option. So I'm gonna remove these spaces in here and setting kerning back to metrics.

So if we press Command or Ctrl A to select the entire world, we can be increasing tracking, adding maybe 200 to have that gap between each and every letter, or let's undo that pressing the right arrow to be at the end of our world. Then hitting return to create a second line and maybe typing anatomy. Now we can be increasing distance between our lines highlighting everything listen command or control a then we can be increasing leading Which is that option in here distance between two lines. And instead of auto which is set to our font size, and it's going to be changing according to our phone size, we can be selecting maybe 72 points, which is going to make them overlap. And instead we can use that shortcut pressing Alt or Option key with down arrow to increase leading between them or even sliding that one.

And you can be pressing Alt or Option key was right or left arrow to increase tracking between letters or reduce it like that. So up and down will be increasing leading while right and left will be increasing tracking for letters. And from here we can be distorted are letters either in a vertical way like that, or horizontal way, which is something I don't really recommend that you go for as we are destroying the fourth lightner. So let's undo these scaling options also can be changing or color either from here or control ball can be clicking that one who can be picking colors if we have an image, or we can be selecting from any of these colors. then pressing OK if we want to change our type color, maybe going for gray or a lighter one missing okay? Also here we have some more options like folks bold will can be adding boldness to our regular font, or folks a tonic or all caps letters, removing that panic to convert all letters into cash.

Capital letters or applying small caps, so all letters or capital letters, however, we have small caps after our first letter, and you can be converting some characters into superscript or subscript, or underline strikethrough. And if you would like to set fractions, you can be activating that one. If you type, maybe one or two, something like that, highlight everything, selecting that one, they will be converted into fractions, and so on. Now, let's say we need to reset our character Well, we can go to that hamburger menu, then selecting reset character, where we have everything set back to default, including font size to 12.
