The Course “Careers for Art Historians” gives an overview of different career paths open to students and those who hold a university degree in art history. Each of the professions presented in this course is discussed. This includes a summary of specific advantages and disadvantages of working in a museum or a gallery, at an auction house or artist’s studio, in the tourist industry, at a monument conservation department, as an art dealer, journalist, or art consultant, and last but not least in the scientific fields such as archives, libraries or universities.
