So first things first, we'll be needing some sort of working surface. I'm using my kitchen counter on which I have enough space it's firm enough I love the height LED lighting. So I'm using my drawing and measuring board like this one is great because it has this roller which has all sorts of things on itself and it makes things easier then you might be using a cutting mat if you don't like to cut on the working surface you have you can go to local arts and crafts store and my little cutting mats like this. They come in all shapes and sizes you can use that because we will be cutting the crossing I recommend plain old simple scalpel.
