The introduction and the first verse of Freddy kings out front goes like this. There's the introduction and the first verse, he started out with this double stop thing and three times throughout the song, they're gonna do these stops, and he's gonna play these different licks using these double stops. So he starts out and what I'm doing here is I'm sliding into an E double stop played over the second position, e barre chord. And I'm going to start picking the second string at the eighth fret and I'm using my third finger, my ring finger and then putting my first finger on the second fret of the third string and on the upstroke, I'm getting the double stop, I'm picking both the first and second string. And then I'm gonna move that double stop, back down and then back into position. So like this does the last pick, do a little slide down, so we got this, then he's gonna play something very similar.

Check the tab this time. I'm sliding in to the double stop from the eighth fret of the second string and then picking up twice on that double stuff. So we got that. That's the first part and then he's gonna go into this. I'm sliding into an E seven double stop using that same shape. We've done this before.

My ring finger is going to go from the 11th fret of the second string to the 12th fret. And then I'm going to pick upstroke, the 10th fret of the first string, first finger on the ninth fret of the first string, second finger on the 10th fret second string. And then he's gonna go to this one, we've done this before seventh fret, eighth fret. So we got that. Which is another really cool Freddy King double stuff idea. Starting here, taking that same shape from the seventh and eighth frets, moving it to the fourth and the fifth.

Just walking it walking it down. We ended up on the second and third frets. So let's do that whole introduction. Lick the end. That's what you're here. Let me do it again slowly.

And then the main lick of the song, we got an open a. So we're picking the picking it again and doing this hammer on from the third to the fourth fret to the fifth string. So it's an open file and then going to the second fret of the fourth string. If you remember just picking, it's the kind of the same idea just played a little differently. I think he's going to the fifth fret of the fourth string. So it's back and forth between the fifth fret and the second fret on the fourth string.

So we got that, so let's play it in context. We're going to take that same pattern and move it over the open six. Now we're playing that riff on the fifth and the sixth strings. Then they go to the five, he's gonna go to the second fret of the fifth string and slide to the sixth fret. And then wind up on the fourth fret of the fourth string. And I don't know for sure if he's gonna get the fifth fret like that, or just slide directly to the sixth fret of the sixth.

Fifth string, and then to the fourth fret of the fourth string. So I hear this now we're going back and forth on the fourth string between the fourth fret and the seventh fret. So we got to do it again. We got the open fifth string, the open sixth string. And the turnaround. I don't hear any any fancy licks being played any bass strings just sounds like a B, seventh core.

So we got this, let me play it from the five. thinking too much try to play it smoothly. So we're gonna go back to the fifth fret, fifth string, second fret. Open six strings. We got this And then we got he's just gonna go into a B seven, I hear the bass string so it's maybe something like this. You can listen to that and decide how he plays that, you know, you might play something like this.
