The next verse of Freddie King sensation is one of the more fun electric blues surf guitar things you'll ever learn how to play. This is one of my all time favorites. And when it gets to the would be the third verse, he's got two verses in the solo and then the next verse, I don't know whether to call this a solo or verse, because he pretty much plays the same thing all the way through. And he wraps up the previous, excuse me, the previous verse, and then it goes into this really cool stuff. I got kind of lost track of the time in there, but he plays the whole thing all the way through the same lick. And so we're playing the what we're doing here is we're in the key of A here's our first position, a chord which is really an a barre chord.
At the bottom, the top part of it, we're using these a lot of open strings on the second fret, and then we go to the third fret of the fifth string. So the lick starts out, he leads into if you'd listen real carefully, he hits the open sixth string. And while he plays this, he's meeting the fifth and the sixth strings with his right hand pump. So it goes like this. So that first sound that you hear is the open sixth string, and that's going to hammer on to the second fret of the sixth string and get the open fifth string. And then it's gonna go back and forth between the open fifth string and the second fret of the sixth string, and then it's gonna go to the third fret of the fifth string and do a little bit so let me try to play it slowly.
Then when the song goes over the four D, he's playing the same thing. Then when it goes over the five over the four, then when it gets back to the one, he's doing this. He's just gonna stay there between the open fifth string and the second fret of the sixth string, and then he's going to come into this. hammer on to the first fret of the first third string. Open first string. Let me try to play that whole verse.
I'll get the timing right this time if I didn't the first time. So he ends the previous verse. That's what he's doing. So there is the third verse of Freddy kings sensation
