My name is Sheila Liberty anko and I'm a working accent reduction coach in Silicon Valley. I've been teaching international professionals here for over 15 years. I have a master's degree in teaching ESL from the University of Illinois. I'm an Illinois native, and Illinois is considered home to the mainstream neutral American accent.

I love the sound of English and this is why I chose to become an accent reduction coach. This course is designed to show students from around the world the errors that are commonly committed when trying to pronounce vowels. In general, foreigners don't spend enough time on vowels or open their mouth enough. So let's get you confidence. In each vowel, so that you'll want to open your mouth enough to learn everything you can here by printing out the written notes and following along. During the video lesson, pause and imitate me be an active learner.

Then further enhance your imitation skills and build muscle memory. By doing the repetition practice provided for each sound. As you repeat each sentence after me, notice everything about the sentence, not just the vowels, notice the consonants the pitch, the volume, all the little details, even how I link the words together.
