Okay, in the last lecture, we created AWS account. Now let's go to AWS web page again and sign in this time. If you notice when we go to it was page it changes to sign into console. And now we can use our 10 sales to log in to our AWS account. And remember, this is your root account. We haven't secured it enough now in this lecture, we are going to secure it enough.
And every time once we you know, Enter your credentials, then we are going to protect in some way different options here. Green, yeah, orange, and I'll encourage you to make all green. In this case, we are going to set up a virtual authentication device. So go to continue to security credentials, and choose multi factor authentication. And here a couple of options virtual MFA device PDF security key other hardware MFA device. In this lecture, we are going to set up a virtual MFA device in this case, Google Authenticator.
Feel free to choose Google on iOS or Android applications. Now, it will show you the scan and once the moment you scan, it's going to ask you first do MFA code one and two. So what I'm going to do is, I'm going to enter my first two MFA code. You just have to wait a few seconds when the second code changes. And now wanted changes you have to enter those details here and assign MFA. If it is successful, your options are green and then it will say your you have activated your virtual two factor authentication.
That's all now if you go and sign out and sign back in, this will now ask you to enter your authentication code that you have just configured. In this case, Google Authenticator. In your mobile, it could be iOS app, it could be Android app. So since I have logged in successfully, it will ask you for MFA code. And once you enter this code, you are going to sign in so nobody can sign in if they don't have MFA code. This is that's all for this lecture.
And then I'm going to see you in the next lecture.
