In our appointments dashboard, you will see a countdown to get started with appointments, you will see four steps which is create your services, create a test appointment, set up your online booking site and invite clients to book online. On the left hand side you will find the menu for the appointment. On the left hand side you'll see are your upcoming appointments and on the right you'll see any notifications of new or changed appointments. So as upcoming appointments come in, you'll see a list that comes with the service, the date and the time in the client name. So this is how it will look when you have absolutely nothing in here. So when you want to get started With appointments, we want to go over to our appointment menu and click calendar and booking.

Here you'll be able to see some of the preferences for each portion of the appointments. The first one is appointments, do you Where do you accept appointments at my business at a customer's location at both my business and the customers location and phone only. So you either want them to call in you want to be able to take appointments in the customers home or at your business location. For your online booking preferences, you can choose to automatically accept all appointment requests or accept or decline appointment requests. You may want to do this to ensure that you have the proper staff ensure you have everything you need for that appointment. If it's automatically set and the customer gets an email right away that lets them know that they have been booked, the time and date that they will be there.

And the point of you accepting or declining, it will let them know that they sent the reservation to you the business owner and you will accept or deny the client appointments. So you can also allow customers to choose timezone when booking online. So instead of if you are a professional, tax professional, and you may have to have customers all around the United States, you want to make sure that they are booking the appointments in their time zone that matches yours. So you want to make sure that they don't book one for 12 o'clock their time thinking and then the appointment comes Through 12 at two o'clock your time and there's a miscommunication with that. So you want to make sure that that location is set. For online scheduling, you can choose when appointments are scheduled, you can schedule it according to the service duration, quarter hour, half an hour on the hour.

This can ensure that you have enough time for those appointments that you if you have only you lists or makes appointments you don't want to overbook yourself. One thing about square appointments, you can sync it right with your Google calendar to make sure that you and your staff are currently in line when it comes to your appointments. And square will take the information into your Google Calendar and blackout time for the personal events that you have. So there is no overbooking if you booked the lunch with your sister and somebody came in and after that lunch was scheduled, wanted to set a appointment square will look at that information and block out that time that you've set for that lunch and then the fake it filter. If you would like to remove some of the availability to out of your schedule then you could turn on the fakie filter, you know move 25% of variability, remove 40 or 50%, fair payments and cancellations. There are three different configurations that you can use one booking without no show protection.

That means they can book reschedule and cancel without being able being required to prepay or provide a car. You can also put in your cancellation policy here to ensure that they know exactly when they sign up what your cancellation policy is. You can also book with no show protection, which will charge a fee so you can do a fee for each service or a flat fee per payment. There is a required cancellation policy that you that is added we ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least before they would even know your appointment or you may be charged, you can put in your custom policy to ensure that they see this this will be listed when they schedule to that a fee will be added for cancellation. So we're going to put in a $25 cancellation fee. And that way, if you're you must cancel your appointments within 24 hours.

So now we have that set. And then if you require prepayment, then you will be the customer will be charged for the full price of your service. pieces that you have set. So then once anytime you make changes you want to save it and that will make your front end which is what the customer sees it will make that viewable. And the communications tab you'll see the reminders and confirmations that will be set. So in you can send customers confirmation request via text message, email or email and text message.

And then there's this cool feature called square assist it allows your customers to confirm cancel or change their appointments by replying directly to the text messages. So when those messages go out for confirmations and such, you can have them if they something has them and they cancel, the message will come to you and you'll be able to see the changes that are at the head been made to their appointment. below you'll see the email notification notification customization. So each email here you can click and you will see the copy that would be with it.

And if you wanted to add to it, then you can add any of these variables in here that will automatically be populated with each customer. So once we have everything set, we're going to save and you have a history tab that shows everything appointments that you have the date the service the staff in the client for you to be able to use. So going back up to the overview, we will set a test appointment. So we'll go to our calendar, and we'll click Create appointment. Now this is what you would do. If you have somebody call for an appointment, you had somebody that you had a in person meeting when they wanted to set an appointment, you can do this from the app and from the desktop.

So we're going to book the appointment for ourself. We have our date. We have our time, any appointment notes that we want to put in here, the service that we want, so we'll select the service and we have the duration which can go From one hour to 24, and you can set a minute, so this appointments that for one hour, the cost will go here, which will be added to the total. But because this is an appointment for ourselves, we want to keep it at zero so we don't have to use our cart. If you have discounts configured, then you can select your discounts here and it will be taken off of the total. And you can turn the national protection if it wasn't enabled in your settings.

It will show up on a nine test appointment. And then we'll click save. So you have an appointment with me on December 9 2019 at 5pm. The notification type will be email and text message. You can also choose to not to send a notification and the notification message anything else side of the details for the appointment so because I know it's gonna come to me, I'll click to not send a notification and after that it is set. So we will you also have a place to be able to create a booking appointment but so if you have a website, and but it's a very simple website and you wanted to add it to be able to automate this portion of your business, you can just click Create Now, put the code Some text, choose a background and copy and paste this code into the websites that you want it to be on. Now, you're also having your appointments menu, booking channels, you can reserve with Google, which you can activate.

It will be on your Google search and your Google Maps any information with that chooses to show your contact information. You can also book with this stick around.
