The IntentionYou may have already thought to yourself, “I can do anything for one minute.” That’s what I try to tell myself during the toughest exercises, like long planks or push-ups. In all honesty, I chant this to myself every now and then in my day-to-day life. I mean, it’s a thought that even came up during labor that I doubted at some moments. And as true as it is we can do almost anything for a minute that doesn’t necessarily make the “thing” we’re doing any less challenging, painful, or frustrating. However, when we choose to stay present and move through those ultra-challenging minutes, we gain strength in ways we didn’t know were possible.
