The Intention
Today is all about movement. Now, I know that sounds obvious within a workout program, but what I mean is that today is about nothing further than the movement itself. This week, you have practiced self-compassion, worked on balance, found strength in joy, and chosen to show up for yourself none of which is easy when starting a new workout program with such profound awareness. Today, I invite you to soak up your time in each movement by getting a sense of how far you have come, even in this short period of time. Fittingly, your intention today is presence. Nothing more, nothing less.Now, we all know that "being present" is easier said than done, especially during a workout. Presence in movement requires a certain kind of stillness within our own minds. Rather than letting our minds chatter away about to-do lists, future plans, past dramas, today your task is to release let go of anything and everything that doesn't serve you at this moment.
