So if you didn't see complete improvement in all four years, that's okay. That's why we're here in this course, we're here to practice. Now, I want you to record yourself again. But this time, we're going to focus on just one element at a time. Now, I want you to give your whole speech again, reading from the teleprompter. But the only thing I want you to focus on is the speed.
I want you to occasionally speak a little faster when you're excited, and occasionally slow down for emphasis to provide contrast. Remember, natural human speech is full of ups and downs and fast and slows. There's variety to it. That sameness of somebody reading a teleprompter and everything is at the same speed. That's what makes it awful to listen to. So I want you to record yourself again, focus just on changing the speed of how you're having those words come out of your mouth.
Video recorded, watch it, critique it and grade yourself just on that one category. Do it now.
