Hey, this is Padma Gordon. And I want to talk to you this evening about visiting with your family with your family of origin, and how to stay connected to yourself and grounded while you're visiting your family because you know, well I know that when I'm visiting my family of origin, things can come up. And all of a sudden, I act like I'm a teenager again. I don't know if this sounds familiar to anyone. But that is my experience that this can come up. So how do I stay connected to myself and be relating with my family members who I love in a way that is actually current?
So I'm like, relating from current time rather than relating from my projections from the past on to them and their projections from the past on to me. So how do you do that? You stay in your body, you stay in yourself? Well, on a practical note, you actually go And take walks or meditate or do the things that actually keep you connected to yourself whatever they might be. And then when you're interacting, you don't take the bait. You stay in your body, you feel the momentum of the path coming to grab you.
And you you open up. So you open up, you stay in yourself. So feel the ground, feel yourself, stay connected to your heart, and be in a loving relationship with the people that are from your family. So thanks for your attention. This is Padma Gordon. Thanks
